Great Italian-style pizza, fine assortment of brews, friendly staff and a fun playlist. But what makes this place so special is the ambience under the old-growth trees, just steps from pristine Deep Lake. Whether you're enjoying a picnic table or a big Adirondack chair, there IS no other place like it!
FYI: Google maps location is wrong and is for the snack stand. The taphouse is a couple hundred yards east near kitchen #2.
Had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and a cold beer in the sun today and both were delicious! Great atmosphere and a very nice staff.
Amazing service today! Due to a dietary issue I asked if you had a pizza sauce other than tomato - maybe olive oil? You came up with the most amazing suggestion ever: GARLIC BUTTER. It made my meat-lovers pizza DELECTABLE, and the cook even came out and told me he was going to make one of them for himself it smelled sooo good! Thanks for a premiere experience today, and keep up the great work!!!

Went with a group of friends on a morning hike then stopped by the Taphouse for lunch. Super friendly staff, delicious pizza and a nice variety of drinks. It was such a great overall vibe that we’ve already made plans to come back for a game night.

Took my family on a camping trip here and one of the main reasons was to visit the Tap House! According to their website they’d had their grand opening on Memorial Day (day before arrival). We skipped breakfast and planned to have lunch there when we arrived;; as well as the following days of our trip. We arrived only to find that the restaurant would not be opening until the next day. Disappointed, but not deterred, we waited until the following day and took the trails over to their location (also an issue as the GPS lead us to the State Park’s main entrance.. but I digress lol)! I called the Tap house and a gentleman gave us directions. We finally arrive and I ordered pizzas and Italian sodas for the kiddos. As anyone with small children is aware, they rarely eat the same thing. Anyhoo, I asked for one pizza (1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese). Also a Chicken bacon ranch pizza for the wife and I. The lady at the register replied “we dont do 1/2 and 1/2. It’s too confusing for the kitchen staff.” I said “Just give me a whole cheese then. In high school, I worked at a pizza joint, not to mention I actually make homemade pizza for my kiddos frequently. The point is, I know how much effort and concentration goes into putting about 5 slices of pepperoni on a pie! However, rather than to ruin an truly magical experience for my wife and two daughters, I bit the bullet and accepted this mediocre response. The pies were tasty. However, Customer Service that day (for me at least (was NON EXISTENT)! I wouldn’t recommend the Tap House to anyone I know after that experience. Again, this was my journey. Being someone currently finishing their Masters in “Business Management and Leadership” I would train my employees to understand how their treatment of ALL CUSTOMERS impacts our business’s bottom line. I wasn’t going to say anything, but that experience really did bother me! Again great food, with lackluster service! Go forth at your own risk!

Incredibly kind staff. Our pizza took longer than expected and our waitress offered a round of drinks to compensate, which was so generous and lovely! And man, when that pizza arrived it was absolutely delicious! The pizza oven is new as of this weekend so they just need to find the groove and it’ll be perfect

If I could give this place more than 5 stars - I would! A locally owned taphouse in the middle of a state park is pure brilliance. Great local beers and ciders on tap, yummy fried food, fun dessert options, and great 80s music bumping. The perfect summer location to enjoy the great outdoors while connecting with others and enjoying some tasty treats. See you next summer!

Very cool spot in the woods to have a drink and maybe a bite.Friendly to the whole family, including the four legged ones. The food is pretty basic. My daughter liked the hot dog and the soft pretzel was pretty good. The fried pickels were alright. The lake and camping near by in the state park seem very nice. Nice lake to play and swim in. Very cool spot!

Good beer selection and bar food options. Pretzel sticks were especially good! Can’t beat having a beer garden right in the park!
Vegetarian options: Pretzel sticks are vegetarian friendly and really good!
Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed and they have food options kids are likely to enjoy like chicken bites and hot dogs. Also have games available to borrow to keep them busy.
