First experience here was great! Sandwiches are large, full, and delicious. A 7-8 inch is only 8-10ish bucks and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back.
Edit: Been coming here consistently and the everything is still good except their pepperchinis. It is an option to add them and I love the extra flavor but when they cut them they leave the stems which is the most unpleasant experience when it comes to biting into the sandwhich. I always have to spit them out. They are chewy and gross, why do yall keep that in there ? ? Please, make it make sense
I love this place, you can tell the produce is fresh. Best place to get a sandwich hands down

Great food but you should tell your idiot employees to not engage with First Amendment auditors. They are uninformed and will lose these battles every time and look like even bigger idiots. You can see the video at Pacific Northwest transparency on

Disappointing. Gross. Literally just pulled 6 inedible things from a Half sandwich… wth.
No idea what the little black thing is, I don’t think it’s even food. I think it’s plastic… the rest is the stems of the banana peppers… terrible food prep job there.. and a literal piece of bone from the Italian ham.
Also I split between two meats, that and turkey, and I only got once slice of turkey. It was like 75% bread and every other bite I was pulling out stuff that belongs in the actual trash. I want my money back. Oh and no “hoagie peppers” which I ordered. Terrible sandwich ? honestly
Tasteless food and the employee's have attitude. Not a good spot for a tourist to get a sandwich

The restaurant was recommended to me in passing. I found the Italian sandwich very good. The flavors of the meat stood out. I'm not a fan of oil on the Italian, but decided to try it. It wasn't soaked and dripping. Ordering the full, they sliced it in half or had them pre-made for speed of service. Speakingl of, the service was fast and that was a huge benefit. I would eat here again.

I drove by this place a week ago when they were closed. I was very excited as it looked like a true Italian deli. Yesterday I found myself in Olympia again and they were open. So I stopped in to get a true italian sub. I couldn't have been more disappointed! First of all a true Italian sub has mortadella on the sandwich.. this however did not!. The meats and cheeses that were on the sandwiches were good that is why I'm giving it two stars. But the absolute worst part of the sandwich was the bread. It was very dry and chewy and had no flavor I got a whole sandwich, which they they cut in half and wrapped each half separately, which I appreciated. I ate half for lunch and I ate the other half for dinner. I actually went to Jimmy John's and bought one of their loaves of bread and remade the sandwich I had for dinner. I will never eat here again! Jimmy John's is much better as well as being cheaper

The facility is clean and efficient with rapid service. I ordered a salami sandwich. It was exceedingly bland and tasteless. I picked a piece of salami and ate it separately and would not have been able to tell it was salami by its taste since it essentially had no flavor. The same was true for the cheese and bread. The ingredients were fresh. The price was reasonable.
The clam chowder was not particularly memorable being somewhat bland also.

Easily the best sub shop in Olympia, although there really isn't much competition, if any. Subway is a contender, for example. Meconi's from what I understand, was founded by transplants who missed big city food. It shows.
These are the subs I would take you to if you wanted a sub and were in town from any major city. It's a sub shop, not a sandwich shop or cafe. There is a difference.
Now, I have had much, much better subs, I am something of an aficionado of good subs. Bread must be good, and ingredients must taste good. These guys do that.
It's no Bronx Salumeria or Katz' famous deli, but for Olympia it's gold. (maybe bronze elsewhere.)

The food is amazing! I just wish they were open later! By the time I'm hungry for dinner and decide I want to eat here, 9 times out of 10 they're closed already! A couple times I've ordered at the last minute and got there a couple minutes before they close and the staff was always very sweet and understanding.
Everything is made fresh, daily. I recommend trying the homemade chili, the southwest salad and the big cookies they have. It is SO good!
