Best Mediterranean food we've had in ages and certainly the best in Olympia. Just found out that tonight is their last day of service. Wish them all the best in their next chapters. This place was a true gem

So sad to learn they have decided to close. They will be missed. Hope they emerge again someday.

I've lived in Olympia for five years and driven past this place so many times but never went in. A good friend recommended it and wow. According to the owner business isn't great so we went to support and we were not disappointed. The service was phenomenal, our waitress explained dishes and sauces to us as well. The food itself was absolutely delicious, I got the Chicken and my partner got the Lamb Shish. Beautiful presentation and large portions. I highly recommend this restaurant! Go support them and their wonderful establishment.

We'd heard a lot about Mediterranean Breeze, but haven't been eating out much lately. We decided to try them for a special occasion and were glad we did! Their positive reputation is well-deserved. Started with the fresh salads which were generous in portion size, nice fresh veggies, and tasty but not overpowering dressings. I enjoyed the chicken shush platter with bulgur, and my spouse had the lamb/beef doner plate. Their wine selection was small, but varied and we enjoyed a fine glass of red. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and very cheery. I thanked the chef and he returned a warm smile! We will definitely go here again. Too bad we waited so long.

Mediterranean food I'd had before, not in any kind of a good way though. We got there around 630p for dinner, place wasn't really busy and only three booths were occupied... which I thought fantastic lol less wait time. The hostesses podium made seating yourself or waiting to be seated a great puzzle to start off, usually they're positioned up front next to the entrance, this one was in the middle of the restaurant among the booths which is not a big deal just something odd you notice, leaves you kind of doing a two step up front lol one step forward and one back, do I seat myself or.... The waitress/ hostess ran into the room from I'm assuming the back kitchen area, idk grabs two menus from the podium and literally just has to lean to her left to place them on the booth we assumed she was "seating" us at because she hasn't said anything to us yet and just goes about her business cleaning the booth as we start walking towards it. I mean she did the fastest wipe down I've seen yet and our bottoms dried the seats, which was fantastic [insert sarcasm] she literally missed my cup as she's really trying to break a record here with getting the table set up and pours the first third of the water on the table and wait for it... she leaves the puddle lmao zero attempt to wipe it off and just walks away so I ended up soaking it up with the cloth napkin wrapped around my silverware lol. When she returns to take our order she finally talks! To tell us they're out of rice and hey if we just want more veggies to substitute the rice?, I'm ok with that though lol I love the veggies. We ordered a doner plate and adana kebab plate with a falafel side. She couldn't sub the falafel for the rice, I didn't ask for it to be subbed lol but she let me know they can't do that lol I just wanted a side of falafel lol come on lol. She leaves, like abruptly just walks off and we didn't get to order drinks at this point I'm kind of cracking up with the oddity of how this was going. Maybe 5mins have passed and she returns with... I'm honestly not sure what but it was chopped and boiled cabbage with a couple carrots and I think balsamic vinegar tossed. It was in a small square sauce bowl? And to accompany that dish, a small round loaf of bread? She didn't explain it lol just left it I did try the cabbage thing and it was cabbage and vinegary...idk what to make of that either lol we didn't eat more than a bite each, it was not pleasant on an empty stomach. 5 maybe 10 minutes more pass... I'm guessing but it wasn't a terribly long wait... and our food is out! I almost busted out laughing, literally no extra veggies, no rice either which we already knew wouldn't be there but literally two skinny dried out and sad kebabs, two pieces of carrots, two pieces of zucchini and a nice little pile of raw somewhat burnt red onion slices with three mysterious sauces and a lovely sprinkle of something crushed and green across everything lol which in no way helped anything lol. The sauces turned out to be a really badly done aoli...it was basically mayo and garlic chunks, marinara (I'm assuming) which why that's there I couldn't guess and an almost flavorless tatziki she called a yogurt dip lmao I'm assuming they didn't squeeze the water from the cucumbers first lol it pretty much was entirely just plain yogurt with a hint of dill and cucumbers watered down. Well I did eat the carrots lol zucchini and half a dried out tough kebab The falafel weren't terrible, little drier than others I've had but the flavor was what I expect for a falafel and the sauce... yep more yogurt with a hint of tatziki lmao it was just sad. I can't speak to my friends experience with their food, that's their story lol but we didn't finish any of the dishes and hit a drive thru on the way home. I won't be going back there lol but it was interesting, oh and my dish was like 22$... for that

Met up with friends for something different. Great food and atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and professional. Ordered a platter of different kebabs representing the various regions of Turkey. Excellent! Highly recommended.

Note: this is the first time that I have ever given a five star rating to a business in my community after just one visit. I usually save star number five for consistency. A friend of mine had been speaking of a Turkish dish that was simply over the top, Iskander Kabab. I put out a search and found that Mediterranean Breeze was very popular and that they serve this dish. The only available location was in Olympia but I figured that it must be worth the drive. What a great call! We walked in and were greeted immediately by a very kind and warm hostess. It did not take us long to make our decisions. We started with the spoon salad. That was like putting a lit firecracker in my mouth. Incredibly bold flavor, very enjoyable. I've never had anything like that before in my life. Next... the Iskander Kebab and the Lamb Platter. I am unable to compare either dish to anything that I have ever eaten before in my life. The lamb was cooked perfectly. A delicious shade of red in the center, dripping with flavor, and as tender as a first kiss. I was able to watch a gentleman preparing our food through the service pass. He appeared incredibly content with what he was doing. After getting to watch him cook and tasting his food I knew that the gentleman understands that the most important ingredient in the kitchen is passion. Well played sir! The interior was nicely done, the service was wonderful. It made for incredible night of dining in Olympia. I will have no reservations whatsoever making the drive from Tacoma to enjoy dinner at the Mediterranean breeze.

This is my second visit to this restaurant and certainly love how consistent the service; quality of the food and the environment. Warm service team/host; and deliciously presentable food is amazing and appreciated. Accordingly to management, only chicken and lamb meat are halal meat for those require halal. Certainly coming back!
