How It Was

Food is on point, as is the music. Service varies depending on who is working the counter. They seem to struggle with finding the right people for the front of house.

Cute place to stop for sandwiches. Food was fresh and being made right in front of us. Really liked the pork loin special, the sausage bagel was good too. Only a few tables but service was super friendly!

Delicious bagel sandwich and good coffee. This place gets busy but it's cute and cozy.

Never open in time. There is NO schedule posted on door for reference. Phone was ringing when I approached-no one answers. If you decide to visit-you always risk to stay hungry just because there is NO way to know if they open at that time or not. Will NEVER come back. Lunch/breakfast should not be this complicated. Make it easier for your customers, NOT for yourself. And post the schedule on the door-it’s not that hard! (Considering your open hours do not correspond to what’s posted on Google). Shame!

A quaint non-chain place not far from the water, with excellent sandwiches. Specials of the day also include house made soups. A Parisian reggae radio station is the regular soundtrack adding a layer of ambiance. Seems to be open for lunch / afternoons only and not on Mondays or Tuesdays (not sure about the weekends). Service is friendly, seating inside and out and reasonable prices compared to the chain sandwich shops.

Cute lil stop perfect for grabbing a scoop of ice cream after the farmer's market. I got the apple pie ice cream and my partner got a scoop of blackberry cheesecake. Yum!

EatDrinkandSeeOly finally pushed me over the edge to try this place! AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! Me and a buddy went the Sloppy Joe and clam chowder route. We both agree, 10/10 would eat again! There's a marriage of flavor going on in that sandwich that's perfect, he really knows how to balance the sweet and sour aspects of the pickles/dressing/coleslaw with the rye bread. Just a perfect sloppy bite every time. And the chowder is some of the best I've had, very chunky, full of all the good stuff! Nice selection of beers in a can, other drinks, and of course Olympic Mountain Ice cream! One of my new favorite spots. I'll have to add some pics next time!

Best spur of the moment decision to have lunch here...Decent array of menu options for breakfast or lunch... The generous serving of beet/kale salad was delicious and filling ( and down the hatch before I snapped a photo! A friend and I each split a bagel with cream cheese and a ham/jalapeño sandwich-fresh and so tasty! Prices are very reasonable and the service friendly. Its a fairly quaint and small space but there is outside seating . The kitchen and floors are sparking clean. Lots of foot traffic ... looking for ice cream, espresso, a cider...and enough take out orders worth mentioning! Close to the Farmers Market, and the waterfront. Parking M-F mighr be a challenge but 2 spots are reserved for takeout! You'll love this little cafe!

Got the Avacado bagel sandwich and I added bacon. (Solid 10) sausage, patty and cheese bagel sandwich added bacon. (Solid 10) both sandwiches were om everything bagel. The soup of the day was split peas and ham soup. I was hesitant because it wasn't my favorite soup but I figured I tried it out and omg this my favorite soup. Veggies were chopped in soup and great pieces of ham in the soup. I rate this soup 10. Clam chowder was pretty good, I rate it 9.5 ..

This is the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in a very long time and I'm not a picky person. Went to order, the 3 sandwiches I picked were sold out. Finally chose a ham cheese and ketchup bagel. They were out of ham so I chose roast beef (nothing else available). The coffee came out with curdled/bad cream. The bagel sandwich came out with no egg or ketchup, just roast beef and cheese. I asked the waitress about it, she let me know a new one would be coming out. A few minutes later another waitress came out to tell me they aren't going to fix it because they "can't do roast beef and eggs". She offered me a side of ketchup instead. At this point two other nearby tables who heard the back and forth asked me if she really just offered me a side of ketchup on an incorrect order. I decided to ask for an egg to put on the sandwich. The owner/chef acted like this was the biggest inconvenience he'd dealt with all day. I was so embarassed with how he spoke to me that I immediately said please don't make the eggs, my family and I are leaving. The waitress brought out the eggs anyways as we were on our way out. The two customers sitting next to us (who I did not know) let me know they were shocked with how they treated me and they would not be coming back based off what just happened.I understand being busy and out of items. But when you give me a sandwich that is missing 2 out of the 4 listed ingredients, that's a problem. I didn't ask for a refund and was very nice to the staff. I was even willing to CONSTRUCT THE SANDWICH MYSELF if provided the eggs but apparently that request was asking for the moon.I can't remember the last time I left a restaurant feeling embarassed AND hungry. Will not be back, and will be sure to let friends and family know not to go either. The other customers who saw what happened said the same thing to me before we left; they won't be back and will let others know to avoid the place.

I am sad to leave this review as this was my second time at this restaurant and the first time was absolutely great. The second time over this weekend was another story. My family and I went in to order sandwiches around 2:00, the store said it closed at 3:00. We got there and there were so many things that they were out of that we couldn't get what we wanted even when we changed two or three times to different items. We eventually settled on three things and while my salami grinder was great, the rest of my family's food had issues. Haphazardly put together or missing some items on the sandwiches we chose. It didn't help when one of the waitresses came out and said I'm so sorry about what's going on but there's just no communication between myself and the kitchen today. Will probably go back, but will give it some time to see if they can sort things out.

If I could deduct the last star to provide an honest review I would. If you have a penchant for sandwiches where there are no ingredients and being yelled at in the middle of service by the owner then this is the place for you. Who can run a business with no ingredients? Wouldn't be me. Let alone make up for the sold out options on the menu by yelling at your customers? Making up for messing up a sandwich with a side of ketchup? Restaurant nightmare. At the bare minimum remind your wait staff they are part of the hospitality industry. Yelling at paying customers is the opposite. Lastly, don't sell things you can't make and then get angry when people ask questions about what you offered? Also, the creamer in the coffee smelled so bad and curdled. Sooo not a good look. How is this place safe to remain open? Yikes.
