So I hate to leave a bad review and this hurts because I used to love to stop by and pick up the cobb salad for lunch on the regular. I got out of the habit back when they didn’t have a chef and all they were making was fried foods. It’s been a while so I thought I’d put in an order and pick up my South Bay cobb salad habit again lol.But sadly my cob salad didn’t come with grilled chicken breast like usual. Instead it had cold thigh meat or something. Looked pinkish as well. When I called to ask about it, I was told that the menu was changed from grilled chicken to cold dark meat. But on the physical and online menu it still says it’s made with grilled chicken and the price is the same. It’s a $17 salad.I asked if I could have grilled chicken like what it says on the menu. They said they would “accommodate” me and I drove all the way back to the restaurant to pick it up.The bartender on duty seemed like a generally nice person in any other circumstance but in this instance I was treated really coldly when I got there to pick it up. They acted like I was inconveniencing them instead of the other way around.Maybe it’s for the better, this way I won’t be spending $20 on lunch a couple times a week. It all works out.

My parents go to this restaurant every Saturday for their after gym date. They took me and my husband there when we were visiting a few weeks ago and we got a look into why they go here consistently. The manager /server is the absolute best and so friendly while making sure you are taken care of. The food is fantastic as well. We left full and satisfied with our choices. We even got a nice apple mimosa which was delightful. I am sad to see the owners are selling it and really hope that not so much changes when others buy it.

Comfortable ambience, good service, and good food. We had the fried chicken Benedict with a hollandaise sauce made of jalapeño jelly. The sauce was flavorful, but not hot. As much as we tried, we couldn't resist the biscuits and gravy. Everything was outstanding! We will come back again.

I live just down the street and first went in long ago, but at that point they only took cash. I don't carry cash, so I didn't go back for years. I just happened to stop in a month ago for a beer, and now that they take cards I've been in a few times since. The food I've tried so far has been really good, comes out hot, and the wait is short. The kitchen staff is clearly on it.Prices are reasonable, and the food will fill you up. The pulled pork nachos stuffed me, as have the burgers. I actually asked if they have a smaller burger. I believe theirs are a half pound, and you won't leave hungry after one of them. Only suggestion would be different fries. They're thin cut, and seem to have a lot of little short pieces, so it's not as easy to grab a few. I prefer a thicker cut fry, but that's just a personal thing. I don't want to suggest that their fries aren't good. They are.Beer selection is pretty good too, and reasonably priced. Be aware that parking can be tight, but not much anybody can do about that. There is one particular server I wasn't thrilled with, who I won't name, but I won't be going in if she's working. I used to be a server, so I try to be as polite as I can, always. Say please, say thank you, say "can I have" instead of "I want", that kind of stuff. She'd bring me a beer, I'd say thank you, and she'd just turn and walk away like she was leaving a drink at an empty table. I figure maybe she's having a bad day, but she's laughing and joking with all the people who are obviously regulars, so I don't know. Just seemed like she couldn't really be bothered with a new customer. That was disappointing. Still tipped her, but would have been more with a little basic kindness.

I can't believe I paid $8 for this "bowl" of soup that was the size of a cup. The server was not at all friendly, or attentive. Gave me the bowl without even wiping it down. I got charged a to-go fee that I was not aware that would be added. I also didn't think it was going to be spicy. Honestly, it wasn't that great. Not sure if I will be going back. Didn't even get offered a spoon!

Food-A+ Service-A Ambiance-C You don't go here for ambiance. You should expect really good food! Best kept secret is the breakfast. Starting to believe it is no longer a secret and you may have to wait. You can always call in a to-go order.

I gave this place two chances. Both times the food was sub par, this time though, the service i received was hostile at best.I wanted to like this place. It is neat and clean and looks like a friendly neighborhood pub. However today, I am not sure if I somehow offended the server, or some other perceived offense, but even one word answers would have been better. I am not someone who goes around dropping bad reviews. I like to support local businesses, but today when ordering the waitress pretty much acted like we were annoying her by trying to patronize the place. When we entered we were not greeted. When we sat, we were not greeted. After a couple of minutes we were asked brusquely "What do you want to drink?" and when we answered, they left without a word. Just turned back and walked away. That was odd, but we thought maybe just a miscue. ok.We asked a question about a food item, and instead of trying to answer, we were told she didn't have that information, point blank. granted it was a pretty standard question for the item offered, so the reply was surprising. The tone was pure annoyance, mixed in with some "Hurry up and order" and a whole lot of attitude to boot. The rest of the evening continued in the same manner. Without going into detail, I'll say the wood was better than mediocre, but what will really keep me out of this place is the service.I will not be trying this place a third time.

I’ve heard of this place by word of mouth for a year now, and we finally decided to drop in for breakfast. It didn’t disappoint; the food was hot and fresh, in big portions, and delicious. The only downside is that they only serve breakfast on weekends. ? we will definitely be coming back!
