We found this place because my wife really wanted breakfast and other places had stopped serving it 10 mins before. I am so glad we discovered this place. Wonderful food and even more wonderful staff. Even the cooks seemed to have smiles on their faces and that joy came through in the food. So delicious! I recommend you visit the Leaning Maple and bring your appetite.

This food is not good. It's way way overpriced. It's not very high quality. There is smoke constantly billowing into the dining room that you have to breathe while you eat. The poached eggs were too small, like they took part of it for a different persons meal. If you ask for soft bacon they give you crispy. The food is far too greasy.
It's quite sad how far breakfast places have fallen since New Moon Cafe and Darby's closed down. This place is one step away from being a scam, just go to Hash on the Westside or find a Denny's or IHOP. These places are all leagues better.
This review would have been a one, except the wait staff made it at least bearable being there.

It has taken about a year to return, and it didn't start out well. We were seated. Others were seated. Others received beverages. We sat for almost 15 minutes no request for beverages, no contact. Gill saved the day on this one. He had seated us and then covered for the person who was supposed to be our server. Without Gill's attentiveness we would have walked out, not wanting to have a similar experience to the one noted below. We enjoyed our meal, but not sure when we will be back. We appreciate the gluten free food and as I said below, we had very positive experiences prior to these last two visits. Hope the server that was originally assigned to us gets some training on customer service. ___ Been here several times and loved it. Stopped by today on the way to the airport with family and it was mixed.

Service was not good, which was surprising because we had excellent service before. We were seated; others were seated; others had servers taking orders; we did not. Finally our server (Liz) arrived and we ordered. Our server did not deliver our orders, and part of our order wasn't delivered. When we were over halfway done, our sever checked on us. We asked about the missing item. When we finished eating, they arrived with the missing item. We immediately asked for the check for fear of not seeing them again. The check was delivered over the shoulder of one of us with no communication. Felt extremely disrespectful.
So how was the food... not as good as it had been.
We will likely try again, hoping this was a one-off experience.

I got the Monte Cristo and it was delicious! I can’t believe that it’s gluten free, the raspberry jam was a perfect pair with the savory turkey, ham and melty swiss cheese. I got a loaded hash brown as my side and it was a 10/10, highly recommended.
The food is actually really good, especially if you have a ton of dietary restrictions (me). I had already had a previous bad experience, but came back anyways because I like the food. We were told about a half an hour but the host kept saying “he wasn’t sure” and “can’t give an accurate time”. Fine. We waited. We waited outside for 30. 45 minutes go by, and we go inside and we ask to order to go. He says 5 more minutes. Fine. We wait. Then another lady comes and asks us to stand in the back in a hallway because “people don’t really wait here” in the front of a restaurant… at a host stand. It takes 15 more minutes to clean the table, then we wait 10 more (while watching it sit there clean) to be sat. The waiters and staff were so rude and acted like we were inconveniencing them for trying to eat there. They did give us free drinks. But the rude behavior was the worst part, because we were respectful the whole time. They then made a food mistake, tried to blame the person ordering, etc. also, $14 for a tiny plate of soggy hashbrowns is sooooo crazy. It is also over crowded, takes 50+ minutes to get food. I’m devastated!! I wanted to love this place so much.

Such a wonderful spot. Girlfriend and I were excited to try this out and we were both blown away. The service was phenomenal, food amazing, and so cute on the inside. We also got lucky with them having live piano music on the weekends. Also I must recommend the London fog! 10/10 this is our new favorite date spot.
