While the food is okay, the prices are astronomical
Would love to have stayed and tried the coffee, but the barista was very rude. Not only to myself but to others that came in after. No patience for explaining the menu to myself or others who came in after me. This occured on Friday the 13th. Could that be the reason?
Everything about this place is good vibes. The outside is so cute. There’s a beautiful rooftop to eat on. The inside is cozy and welcoming. Everything is affordable and there’s so many options. There’s a market right next to it on the weekends. Can’t recommend it enough. This carrot lox is hands down the closest thing I’ve had salmon lox. Smoky, salty, great texture. It was just perfect. I will say the hand pie I got was a bit undercooked and very mushy so probs wouldn’t get that again.
I went around 9am and I was in desperate need of coffee. I had never been before and asked for a recommendation for flavoured iced coffee. The barista hooked me up with the most delicious lavender coffee. Peak experience 10/10
LETS HEAR IT FOR VEGAN & GLUTEN-FREE!! 🥹🫶🏻
Great, healthy clean food. Wonderful deserts and friendly, warm staff. I love to visit this spot whenever I’m in the area!
Amazing cafe with excellent food, drinks and ambience. I bought the chocolate peanut butter nougat and the carrot cake cheesecake which were both exceptionally good.
It is refreshing to see a cafe where any random thing from the shelf tastes this good.
We go once a week for biscuits and gravy. Unbelievable. I always get extra gravy (it’s so good) but a normal serving has enough. I also buy hand pies to toss in my freezer and cook in my air fryer when I’m too lazy to cook. Reasonably priced.
We tried the biscuits and gravy, the breakfast sandwich, and the kale salad. The b&g were good but the rest was pretty underseasoned. I love old school hippie vegan cooking but felt that this spot didn’t nail it. The gluten free English muffin had a texture like cardboard and the oat cheese had no flavor. They nailed the biscuits and gravy though, would get that again😄
I got to the Parkside cafe almost weekly now. I’m not usually a drink person but their seasonal drinks are incredible!! I usually get the carrot lox (gf version) and the mushroom gravy and biscuit (gf version), but sometimes go for a bakery item as well. Never a disappointing trip to this cafe.

The hand pies are unbelievably good.
My Omni and GF boyfriend stopped here on a road trip and he was pleasantly surprised by all the GF options, then ordered a burrito in a bowl sans tortilla. He was a bit disappointed they didn’t have corn tortillas to serve on the side. My breakfast sandwich was amazing AND accidentally GF, which I am not. So good. I wish I lived closer!
I stopped here randomly while on a road-trip with my partner and we had an awesome lunch! I had the mushroom style biscuits and gravy, made gluten-free and my other half had a breakfast burrito. We shared a slice of coconut "cream" pie on a gluten-free crust and washed the whole thing down with lattes and americanos. The restaurant is super cozy and stylish, we especially loved the tin ceiling tiles at this counter service cafe, and the friendly service from the young staff memeber working the front of house. The food is served a la cart, so you can choose your portion sizes better and control what you spend. We left pleasantly full, but not too stuffed to continue our drive. I will definitely be back when I'm in (or near) Olympia again.
Great food, savory and sweet. Cool old building. Friendly staff. Wish they had a vegan place this quaint and cool in Seattle.
A cozy space w great food. An array of plant-based foods and desserts. Updated from previous review on 2024-12-07
