The Park Side Cafe

One of our favorite places to grab food. The biscuits and gravy are phenomenal, every pastry I've had here has been delicious (though the pastry is sometimes slightly under baked it's never bothered me), and the service is friendly.

All plant-based delicious homemade food. Sweet local Oly café with a chill vibe. Kind staff. Lots of variety. The tofu breakfast bowl with mushroom gravy was awesome. Got a peach crumble bar to go. Good coffee too. Can’t wait to come back.

We went there for a gluten free breakfast, because my boyfriend is allergic to gluten. We loved the food and even him who normally isn‘t a fan of vegan food said, that it was delicious!

Food is amazing! I would say visit just to try their Carrot Lox bagel. I ordered lattes and cold brew drinks which were also great. Their desserts are wonderful as well. They knock the hand pies out of the park!

However, I suggest going on slow times and only dining in. Their service lately has been inconsistent with sometimes forgetting to input an order or just taking a long time to put the items together. I can say that the ladies working the weekend are awesome, so if you do drop by with time to spare, that’s the best time to do so.

For first time visit, I suggest just grabbing the already made items like the desserts or wraps. If you have time to wait, then an order a hot plate. I promise, the food is delicious because I keep coming back for more.

Would love to have stayed and tried the coffee, but the barista was very rude. Not only to myself but to others that came in after. No patience for explaining the menu to myself or others who came in after me. This occured on Friday the 13th. Could that be the reason?

Everything about this place is good vibes. The outside is so cute. There’s a beautiful rooftop to eat on. The inside is cozy and welcoming. Everything is affordable and there’s so many options. There’s a market right next to it on the weekends. Can’t recommend it enough. This carrot lox is hands down the closest thing I’ve had salmon lox. Smoky, salty, great texture. It was just perfect. I will say the hand pie I got was a bit undercooked and very mushy so probs wouldn’t get that again.

I went around 9am and I was in desperate need of coffee. I had never been before and asked for a recommendation for flavoured iced coffee. The barista hooked me up with the most delicious lavender coffee. Peak experience 10/10
