Service was bad when I placed an order she asked what I wanted and she spaced out looking at a different direction and when I had to repeat my order she took a big sigh as if it was my fault she didn’t get the order down and the beans were to watery like felt like I was drinking bean water and when I was getting my drink I got rudely asked to step aside place was just a bad vibe food was bad I just didn’t wanna finish and go home I tossed my food once I left waste of money and rude service

I remind you that this restaurant has very good food and good handmade corn tortillas and the chamacas are very kind to you.

Good Mexican flavors, however, the arbitrary surcharges significantly lower the quality of dining experience at El Sazon as these extra charges are not posted, verbalized, nor offered as a courtesy notice. I find it unjust that tipping is highly insisted throughout the restaurant, but "to go" surcharges come as a sneaky surprise. I have no more interest in supporting a local business with such greedy practices.

Edited: Before this past summer (2024), the "to go" surcharge was 50 cents. Now it is 75 cents. So "to go" orders might be a dollar after the new year.

My all-time favorite Mexican restaurant in the northwest. I've been to fancier more expensive places but none are as good as El Sazon. Consistently great food at very affordable prices. I could eat here everyday if I lived in the Tri-cities.
