“WOW! Just WOW! Unfortunately, the pandemic closed most buffets down, apparently permanently. Fortunately, Pasco’s Red Lion has risen from the ashes. They brought in a new chef specifically to ramp up their cuisine, and HOLY COW did they nail it. They raised the bar to the point their Thanksgiving 2022 holiday buffet topped every buffet we’ve found in our road trips all over the lower 48 states. We’ve never before seen such a consistently superior array of veggies, meats, desserts, salads, fruit, and sides featuring off-the-chart flavors, textures, freshness, variety, and tummy-rubbing pleasure. Diners from health nuts to trough feeders — both apply to me — can satisfy any appetite in awe. Your next opportunity for this fabulous, special holiday treat is Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. They told me reservations will be available somewhere around mid-March*. Don’t miss this opportunity. They will accommodate, pamper, and please you and your tastebuds whether there are two or two dozen people at your table. * Unfortunately, their website doesn’t even mention their holiday buffets, their phone system is among the worst I’ve ever encountered, and it took me hours to paste this review. On the rare occasions that anyone answers any of their phone numbers, they’re unfamiliar with the buffet and/or give incorrect phone numbers (e.g., the Columbia Basin College Security Police phone number) for information about it. This must cost the hotel and the restaurant a tremendous amount of business. Some employee needs to bring his kid in there and get their act together. One exception has been Sandra, who, when I can reach her, gets answers for me. In the meantime, go to their Seasons Restaurant website to find out more about their smaller daily buffets at 11 AM (not 11:30). Each weekday offers a specific cuisine including at least two very good main entrees plus many sides priced from the basics right up to prime rib, as you choose. I’d catch those daily buffets more often if their desserts weren’t so fantastic or if I had more will power. I have absolutely no connection with the Red Lion. I simply love to eat outstanding food — the more the better — and their holiday buffets top my list. It’s too bad they’re so secretive about it. They should be shouting it from the rooftops.”

“I went here with a friend, I don't eat wheat. He got a variety of pastries to bring to friends. The bakery is massive, baked goods on rolling bakery racks you help yourself to. They provide you you with a paper lined tray and tongs, you wander through and grab what you want. Having run artisan bakeries in the past, this was not the shop for me. “I really enjoyed my experience here. Every dish had a different flavor. I lived in Pasco back in 1989, but I moved away for a long time. The Barrio in Pasco has changed a lot since ive been gone. I've been to like a lot of different Sushi joints in my lifetime, but this place felt like home. It felt like the family next door, but yet still professional, and an experience in a home away from home. This place has soul. The oysters were my favorite but each dish had different delicious flavors. I highly recommend that you try this House for yourself.”

“When we travel, my wife & I used to hit Izzy's Pizza in any town that had one. When I heard we had a local pizza buffet, we absolutely had to see if it scratched the itch that Izzy's left behind when they went out of business.

Not only did Shakey's meet that standard, they surpassed it spectacularly. The staff were amazing; attentive, cordial, and genuinely interested in our experience. The manager on duty (wish I could remember her name) was gracious enough to spend some time talking with us about the restaurant's history as we'd mentioned how we'd only just learned of it.

The selection was surprisingly similar to Izzy's but with more choices. There were a few other surprises as well. First, I was only half joking when I requested they make a taco pizza to throw on the buffet; they actually did... 10/10. Second, I haven't seen a good dessert pizza since Godfather's stopped doing their buffet so, when I saw some join the lineup, I was overjoyed; they were great. Lastly, the Arcade in the back really hit that 80's pizza joint vibe. We didn't play any as we'd put all our enthusiasm into enjoying the variety at the buffet before we realized it was even there and I was STUFFED, but it was quite nostalgic all the same.

My only MINOR disappointment was this: We showed up as soon as they opened at 11am and were there until just after noon. Yet, the inside of the store reminded me of a few bars I'd been in where they covered up all the windows and ran on nothing but the minimal number of 60w/2700k bulbs. It felt... dour. NOT dingy; the place was clean as a whistle. It was just a stark contrast to the delightfully exuberant energy we felt from the staff. It doesn't LOOK that way in many of the photos here, so perhaps they had the lighting dialed down and forgot to brighten it that day. Either way, it definitely isn't a big enough problem to prevent our return, as we had a wonderful time.”

Consistently, for over a year, they nail my order and do a superb job each time. Pizza is hot and fresh, they never forget the extra cheese, the sauces are homemade + delicious. The cinnamon pizza is worth trying, they put a lot of effort into layering it & making it present well with a ton of flavor. Service is friendly, store is clean, never had a forgotten item, the menu is clear & focused so pizza quality is particularly consistent. Highly recommend - Rocco’s and Golden Wok are the 2 most consistent high quality restaurants in the road 68 area.”

“The clerks on duty (I didn't manage to catch their names) were super friendly and approachable off the bat. It was unlike the typical customer service experience where there's an emotional detachment from the customer. These people where animated and human; they had personality, while still maintaining the sense and tone of respect that comes with being someone in the service industry.

It was a very quiet, comfortable little shop, and remarkably well-kept and organized. The moment we walked in, both clerks greeted me and my mother and helped us (first time comers) with understanding the menu. They were totally understanding and completely receptive to my mother's strict allergies list, taking the time to show her the safe items on the list, and even going as far as pointing out the sauces provided on the table that wouldn't be safe to use.

The food (Vegetable Udon and Vegetable Pho) was absolutely FANTASTIC, to the point that me and my mother had to physically stop ourselves from eating too much. Not only that, it was out in no time at all. I hardly had time to post a selfie on my story before I was served a piping hot bowl of Udon and a perfect scoop of rice. Note that a side of rice is a little over $2 extra, but the Udon and Pho were only $15 a bowl.

Absolutely fantastic place, and we may likely be visiting regularly.

(Just like home in the south) and the portions are HUGE! I had the fried steak, which was breaded and cooked perfectly! The country gravy was spot on and smothered well!! The biscuits were so moist and soft.. the butter and HOMEMADE JAM was out of this world… you easily could taste the freshness and naturalness of it. We also ordered the cinnamon roll French toast… the icing, the toast… omg… simple incredible! Cannot say it enough how amazing everything was! Everything tasted handmade and fresh… definitely worth the drive from Kennewick. Definitely our favorite place for breakfast now! If you expect gourmet food and a fun whimsical atmosphere, you clearly have never been to the tri cities 😂 but if you know what the tri cities are about, this is by far one of the best establishments in the tri-area! Especially if you are a minority. They treat you as an equal to their white patrons unlike the vast majority of tri-city establishments. Customer service is astounding no matter who you are, and at the end of the day, I'd rather have a mediocre salad with great customer service than a 5 course meal with poor customer service. Only piece of advice: if you are a Karen or planning on acting like one, don't plague these nice people with your scourge. Pre game and leave these angels alone!”

“Always great food and service. Visited yesterday and asked about the wraps in their post, one looked like a buffalo chicken fries wrap, but turns out it was not and it’s not on the menu. Staff offered to make me one anyways! It was so delicious!! I will ask for it going forward and hope they make it, but hopefully it becomes a menu item. Thanks again for the great experience.”
