“WOW! Just WOW! Unfortunately, the pandemic closed most buffets down, apparently permanently. Fortunately, Pasco’s Red Lion has risen from the ashes. They brought in a new chef specifically to ramp up their cuisine, and HOLY COW did they nail it. They raised the bar to the point their Thanksgiving 2022 holiday buffet topped every buffet we’ve found in our road trips all over the lower 48 states. We’ve never before seen such a consistently superior array of veggies, meats, desserts, salads, fruit, and sides featuring off-the-chart flavors, textures, freshness, variety, and tummy-rubbing pleasure. Diners from health nuts to trough feeders — both apply to me — can satisfy any appetite in awe. Your next opportunity for this fabulous, special holiday treat is Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. They told me reservations will be available somewhere around mid-March*. Don’t miss this opportunity. They will accommodate, pamper, and please you and your tastebuds whether there are two or two dozen people at your table. * Unfortunately, their website doesn’t even mention their holiday buffets, their phone system is among the worst I’ve ever encountered, and it took me hours to paste this review. On the rare occasions that anyone answers any of their phone numbers, they’re unfamiliar with the buffet and/or give incorrect phone numbers (e.g., the Columbia Basin College Security Police phone number) for information about it. This must cost the hotel and the restaurant a tremendous amount of business. Some employee needs to bring his kid in there and get their act together. One exception has been Sandra, who, when I can reach her, gets answers for me. In the meantime, go to their Seasons Restaurant website to find out more about their smaller daily buffets at 11 AM (not 11:30). Each weekday offers a specific cuisine including at least two very good main entrees plus many sides priced from the basics right up to prime rib, as you choose. I’d catch those daily buffets more often if their desserts weren’t so fantastic or if I had more will power. I have absolutely no connection with the Red Lion. I simply love to eat outstanding food — the more the better — and their holiday buffets top my list. It’s too bad they’re so secretive about it. They should be shouting it from the rooftops.”

The great prices and tasting flexibility are major factors to this. However, last time we went, we realized that what they called “smoked sushi”, was really just torched. Thing I discovered too late, while savoring the soot-like flavor from the torch in the carbonized bits of rice and fish. It was unpleasant and the last thing I ate that night. The rest was fine, I will come back actually just avoid anything “smoked” from the belt next time.”

Cam is the best, he was at the Carmichael location before and is now here, and is doing amazing with this location! He deserves a raise and stock in WUC if he doesn’t already have it. I am always treated with kindness and given the best service. They go out of their way to make your drink the way you like it. I love this location and will continue to be a loyal customer.”

Burger was cooked well and stacked high. The sampler was a full plate of choose 3 sides and 3 sauces. Why di they only bring 5 shrimp at a time? 10 at a time would be better. Oh well, just means they need to stop at my table a few extra times.

“The clerks on duty (I didn't manage to catch their names) were super friendly and approachable off the bat. It was unlike the typical customer service experience where there's an emotional detachment from the customer. These people where animated and human; they had personality, while still maintaining the sense and tone of respect that comes with being someone in the service industry.

It was a very quiet, comfortable little shop, and remarkably well-kept and organized. The moment we walked in, both clerks greeted me and my mother and helped us (first time comers) with understanding the menu. They were totally understanding and completely receptive to my mother's strict allergies list, taking the time to show her the safe items on the list, and even going as far as pointing out the sauces provided on the table that wouldn't be safe to use.

The food (Vegetable Udon and Vegetable Pho) was absolutely FANTASTIC, to the point that me and my mother had to physically stop ourselves from eating too much. Not only that, it was out in no time at all. I hardly had time to post a selfie on my story before I was served a piping hot bowl of Udon and a perfect scoop of rice. Note that a side of rice is a little over $2 extra, but the Udon and Pho were only $15 a bowl.

Absolutely fantastic place, and we may likely be visiting regularly.

If you expect gourmet food and a fun whimsical atmosphere, you clearly have never been to the tri cities 😂 but if you know what the tri cities are about, this is by far one of the best establishments in the tri-area! Especially if you are a minority. They treat you as an equal to their white patrons unlike the vast majority of tri-city establishments. Customer service is astounding no matter who you are, and at the end of the day, I'd rather have a mediocre salad with great customer service than a 5 course meal with poor customer service. Only piece of advice: if you are a Karen or planning on acting like one, don't plague these nice people with your scourge. Pre game and leave these angels alone!”

“Holy smokes!! Had breakfast here today and was thoroughly rocked!! Omg how delicious everything was! The sweet tea was served in a mason jar!! (Just like home in the south) and the portions are HUGE! I had the fried steak, which was breaded and cooked perfectly! The country gravy was spot on and smothered well!! The biscuits were so moist and soft.. the butter and HOMEMADE JAM was out of this world… you easily could taste the freshness and naturalness of it. We also ordered the cinnamon roll French toast… the icing, the toast… omg… simple incredible! Cannot say it enough how amazing everything was! Everything tasted handmade and fresh… definitely worth the drive from Kennewick. Definitely our favorite place for breakfast now!
