I just tried this place for the first time and it was AMAZING! The pork was so fresh and juicy and the baked beans and slaw were top 3 I've ever had. The owner is so sweet and clearly takes a lot of pride in his business and food. So glad to have this in Port Angeles!
I'm from the south east. I moved to the PNW recently and I've been craving real, southern style slow cooked BBQ. This is the closest I've come to finding that smoky, woodsy flavor that Ive been looking for. I had the pulled pork sandwich with beans, coleslaw and the corn muffin. The beans are good, but could use a bit more brown sugar (they are vegetarian so no bacon). The coleslaw is pretty standard, but not bad (and bad coleslaw is the worst so this easily passes...
Solid food, passable service, restrictive hours. The barbecue sauce was a bit sweet for my personal taste, but others may find it enjoyable. The venue looks aesthetic, even if it is small.
