This place is fantastic! We had the poke bowl and the chicken sandwich and some wonderful chocolate mint cake for dessert and everything was really, really good. It was a Friday afternoon in the summer and pretty darn busy but the wait was well worth it. Really friendly energy too. I'd go out of my way to eat here again.

This place might be a bit overrated. Yes the fried chicken sandwich was good 4/5, but the turkey on focaccia bread was average 3/5, lemon bar 3/5, and chocolate pudding 3.5/5. The outdoor seating offered very little sun relief. Inside was better. However, not a big place. The person taking our order was disinterested.

Excellent every time I go. Great place to take out of towners, even if it is a drive. Just be careful because its only open a few days a week.

Stopped in for a late breakfast today. Kitchen didn't open for another 15 minutes, but we enjoyed coffee outdoors at the picnic tables while we waited (and are we glad we did!) DH had the Breakfast Burrito - HUGE, delicious, lovely fresh sauce and I had the Red Onion Hash - eggs cooked EXACTLY how I like and those orange yolks - that must have been a free range hen! Lots of veggies, taters, just YUM! We both took remnants home in boxes happily provided by the VERY nice and attentive staff. Also, got a few items from the bakery display to enjoy later - too delicious looking to turn down. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves and look forward to our next visit.

I would like to start by saying that, though I and a friend both found the chicken fried steak to be VERY tough and stringy, the rest of the meal, and the meals of our other friends were all very good. The highlight of my visit was the espresso drink I ordered on the way into the dining room. The barista obviously took pride in his craft and his drink proved that to be true! We all agreed that the young lady who took orders and brought things to our table was very friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we all had what we needed to enjoy our meals. As previously mentioned, the chicken-fried steak was tough and stringy. The rest of the meal (sausage gravy, fingerling potatoes, and green beans) was quite tasty. I did bring the tough meat to the attention of a gentleman behind the counter, only for my complaint to be shrugged off, and to be told that that they use cubed steak and that is how it is. This really is not good customer service, and I was a little disappointed in how a complaint was received. I really have never had chicken fried steak that was not tender and easy to cut and chew. Perhaps he could have offered to pass on the feedback to the butcher.

Stopped in for lunch and two of the worst sandwiches we have ever eaten. For a bakery and the prices they charge, we expected house-made bread, not bland supermarket goods. The bacon on the club was barely cooked, too. Disappointing and overpriced. We won't be back.

Butcher and Baker Provisions provides a welcoming atmosphere with ample portions, though quality is slightly overshadowed by quantity. Both meal options were enjoyable, with the fried chicken sandwich being the standout. The space is inviting, but feels more limited in winter due to reduced seating. I didn’t explore further since I found a spot easily due to it being rainy, though I noticed additional outdoor tables and chairs in the summer.

Vegetarians: Call first! They don't always have serious options for vegetarians. This salad for example...they tried to trick us into eating a lot of raw cabbage. 😅

They'll say some things can be made vegetarian, but then it's sometimes just a salad (not their forte) or some other meal without any protein.

Going to Olympic National Park? Stop here on your way and stock up on freshly prepared boxed lunches, baked goods, and hot coffee.

Port Gamble is one of those places that often escape even the locals, and once you know it's there, you'll wish you'd found it sooner!

I ordered their Boston cream pie, which is really a cake, and it was amazing. I was more than impressed by it. That is a cake you don't find very often in the PNW. I've also had their peanut butter cookie, to die for, and their sandwiches. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order and the staff is very friendly.

Dropped in on the way home from a running race in Seattle because a friend recommended it. We were all hungry, soaking wet, and cold and wanted one of everything when we walked in. We settled on an almond croissant, chocolate chip cookie, PB and Jam bar, 2 slices of cake, and a large hot chocolate. The cookie was pretty amazing, large and lots of chocolate. The almond croissant was flakey and the filling was not too sweet, but not well distributed (a common flaw in filled croissants). the PB and Jam bar had a great texture and was well balanced between the PB and Jam flavors- it was dense, filling, and scrumptious. The hot chocolate was fine but unremarkable. The cake slices were tasty and aesthetically lovely, but we wouldn't go out of our way for them again.

I hit up B&B every time I’m in Port Gamble - the chicken sandwich is killer, as are the baked goods. Such a perfect lunch spot after hiking in the nearby trails!
