I just spent 3 days there with wife. We enjoyed the stay and were very comfortable there. I love the atmosphere of the place.Rooms: Decor is a little dated, but has a unique style that lends itself to an artsy, retro sort of look that I liked. It is clean and kept up. Bathrooms are in good shape.Nearby activities: Location is good for a lot of beautiful outdoor scenary (Fort Flagler, Port Ludlow, kayaking, other islands, scenic bays) and close to Port Townsend for cultural visits. I found the people in Port Hadlock/Port Townsend area to be extremely friendly!!Food & drinks: Spirits Cafe in the hotel has excellent food and the cook has amazing talent!

This hotel appears tired, outdated & in need of upgrades. My room had an old musty smell, it was dusty, ironing board cover didn't fit & the iron leaked water all over my clothes rather than steaming them. Restaurant food was good but overpriced. Overall, I would not choose this location.

The hotel is a little older and certainly has some quirks! I didn't really run into the staff but all in all it was lovely and had personality. It was a little farther out but that is nice for privacy.

We stayed two nights at the hotel. The bedding, shower, tub, etc seemed clean. However the light fixtures and ledges were very dusty. The hotel needs to set up a routine for regular (probably monthly) dusting. Also, the shower curtain is too short, allowing water to get everywhere. We also had dinner Saturday night and it was delicious! There was wonderful live music and the atmosphere was great! We decided to have brunch Sunday and the cream for the coffee was curdled and the table was not wiped down well, even though it was set well before we arrived.I really wanted to be able to recommend the hotel and restaurant, but I just can't. A few adjustments, like regular dusting, wiping tables off completely, and not serving lumpy cream would definitely help.Rooms: Bed was soft and pillows were great! The water pressure in the shower was a little low, but have definitely had worse. The tub was deep and clean.Food & drinks: Dinner was amazing, brunch not so much. They are a farm to table restaurant, so many ingredients are freshNoteworthy details: The hotel serves the community by offering housing to those in need.

Dined at the restaurant on my birthday. Focossia bread was stale and caked in oily grease. Fish and chips was dripping in grease as well. Chicken Parmesan was good.

What a historical place. Full of stories and pictures to learn about this old building. It's not the fanciest place, but has a great mission to help the needy of the region. The rooms have great views, cozy fireplaces, clean, but not the fanciest finishings. My couch (hideabed) in front of the TV and fireplace could need a replacement. Although a colleagues couch was fine a few doors down.Kudos to the staff for helping take care of 6 of us with strange schedules. Sleeping days, working nights. Very accommodating. Love the fact that the restaurant uses garden material from their local garden which you can see out the window of your room.

The drinks are strong, the veggies are fresh and the rooms are nice. What more can you ask for.

Not only was the property beautiful, the staff were absolutely amazing! Kimber and John were so sweet and accommodating during our trip. I wish we lived closer to the west coast, but this place specifically, will be a reason why we return to Washington! Thank you once again for an AMAZING stay! ?Nearby activities: Olympic State ParkFood & drinks: The restaurant on site is AMAZING and all produce is grown on the property!

Well, We thoughts some things were odd for a hotel. The was no coffee bar only fairly high priced drinks. The drinks in the gifts cooler were priced Very high. Prob. would have bought something if the prices were reasonable. The gardens were very cool. Lots of updating needs to be done. The metal circular stairs are awaiting a headache! A protection on the stairs that are head-height is needed. The bed in 302 was not good. We added our foam. The threshold going into the room is too large. It takes a big bump to get over it with cart. The toilet was dangerously slow. Maybe a plunger should be available. The staff was very friendly.

My husband had a sport tournament in Port Townsend and we decided to go early and spend the night at the last minute. We lucked into this place. Had a delicious dinner on the patio. Beautiful location, charming and quirky. Great staff. Gardeners clearly run the place which I appreciate. Needs a bit of a facelift but comfy bed, roomy room, slept soundly.

This Inn is an excellent place to stay with a nice view. Our only complaint was the room was a little dirty in terms of spiders and webs. Very high ceilings and webs were abundant. The carpeting in our room also just felt gross. Just really old and seen some age.

Stayed here for our week long vacation on the peninsula with our two kids. Staff were nice- the lobby/ front desk is only manned during daytime hours. Price was fair and competitive for the area, plus we comfortably fit in a standard suite. There was a living room area with a pull out couch, desk and balcony with a water view, and a semi separate bedroom with a comfortable king bed. Bathroom had a shower, no tub, and was a little dark. Mini fridge and microwave were helpful for keeping some cold drinks and having some snacks/ breakfast options on hand. No breakfast offered at the hotel, except brunch on the weekends. We did go to the on site restaurant Spirits twice for dinner and the patio seating was really nice, surrounded by a garden where they grow flowers and vegetables incorporated into some of their dishes at the restaurant. We were disappointed not to be able to sit outside the second time, as apparently there were many reservations for the patio that Sunday, although there were still tables open when we left. I would say make a reservation if you want to sit outside on a Friday or weekend. Coffee is offered at the front desk but not until 8 o clock, and not great. As coffee people we were not satisfied with the on site options and ended up driving to Starbucks down the street at the grocery store qfc every morning. No laundry on site but we did drop off laundry at the Laundromat next to qfc and they were nice and had it done the same day. Housekeeping is by request and we did request it twice- it was fine except they didn't empty the garbage bins the second time so we were left with full trash bins in the room. I'm sure they would've taken care of it had we said something at the time. Overall it was a good place to stay in the area and the price was right. Would probably stay here again if we were in the area.
