It took a very long time for food to come even though it was not busy and the bistro steak was well done when asked for medium rare but other than that it was good. The waitress was nice, the salmon was delicious and the view was unbeatable.

It seemed like the waitress was spread alittle thin. Didn't pay much attention to our table

We had a lovely quiet outdoor table, and had the porch all to ourselves. The meal was wonderful. However, midway through our meal, a very large and boisterous group was seated right next to us, leaving the entire rest of the porch vacant. I wish that a kinder and more considerate choice had been made.

We had dinner here twice. The first time was excellent. Food was 10/10. Our server, Amanda, also 10/10 for service and attentiveness. The hostess could use a bit more training. She seemed to be frazzled each time we came in even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. The second time (different server) informed us they were out of halibut (no problem), ran out of mashed potatoes, ran out of ginger ale. We waited a long time for her to take our drink order, we waited a long time for food. We had to ask our server to bring us bread (it was automatically brought the night before), we had to ask for drink refills, our server barely came around to check on us so we had to flag her down. Second night was a big disappointment. Giving 4 stars only because the first time was so great.

We have been stopping at the fireside restaurant for over 10 years during our sailing trips and have always enjoyed the location, service and food, but for the last few years... the restaurant service and food quality has been continuously going down for the last 2 years, we always give it a chance but this last trip (aug 7th, 2025) was the worst experience since. The waiter clearly didn't want to be/work here, the food was poor (flat iron steak was over cooked swimming in a balsamic reduction with couple of mushy fingerling potatoes, the cod was bland, portions too small, only the burger was acceptable frankly). They have a great wine list (if they manage to find your order). At the end of our main course they brought us the check immediately stating that the kitchen had closed so no option for any dessert (before 9pm, though they take reservations until 8:15pm). The location is fantastic, the menu is great, we just need the owner and chef to setup back few fundamentals to make the fireside the institution it has been in the past, none of my remarks require increased cost for the restaurant, just few key principles well executed from the kitchen and service. We will still come back and give it a chance.

Sunday was our first time dining at Fireside and it was great. We chose Sunday to experience their farm to table special, featuring foods from the area in 3 courses. First was a salad with buttermilk dressing and bread with crushed olive dip. Both were delicious. The entree was two codfish tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were great, rice and beans were okay (could have been spiced a bit more). Dessert was duck egg flan, which was done to perfection. Ambiance was super, we dined outside with a beautiful view of the marina, bay and mountains. Service was fine as well, we never waited for refills on water and drinks, meals were served quickly and properly.

Food was ok but not for the price. Sauce over chicken very bland and tasteless. Bread was very hard and the croutons in the salad were like rocks.

The Fireside is a favorite of ours and never disappoints. This visit was no exception. The food was excellent, and our server, Tanner, was outstanding. He was friendly, personable, and went out of his way to assist one in our party who had food sensitivities. Thank you for another wonderful lunch experience!

Have had better experiences at the Inn. Service was really slow this time and the server seemed annoyed to even deal with us. We had to ask other servers for help. We eat there almost every week so not the norm. Not much around here for locals...hope that new server learns or moves on.

We had a delicious dinner. Excellent service. Outside seating in the sunshine. Great evening!

Great location for a lovely dinner. Locally sourced food, with plenty of choices. Highly recommended it!

Very low key dining. Didn't have a full dinner since menu was limited and a bit overpriced. The basic Caesar salad with chicken added was ok, nothing special. Felt like dining in a retirement home which is basically what the residents of Port Ludlow are, retired. Staff was friendly but inexperienced due to limited number of people that probably dine there perhaps.

Our dinners were excellent! I had chicken Marsala and my husband had the halibut. Both dishes were delicious. The service was wonderful. The view is gorgeous! We highly recommend Fireside Restaurant.

Beautiful setting for lunch with friends. Service was very slow. I felt an undercurrent of something unpleasant happening to/with the staff. I wanted to love it so will give it another try sometime.

Lovely setting. Extremely poor service. 20 minutes to fulfill a mocktail order, and another 40 minutes for food service. Bartender looked like he hadn't slept in days, rag hanging out of his back pocket. I don't blame the staff, they all look tired, this is clearly a management issue. Food was OK, though my steak was chewy and had a weird gamey taste. I covered it with the grilled vegetables on the plate to not taste it. Port Ludlow needs this restaurant to step it up.
