My experience here was not good. I got a chocolate cookie that looked and tasted very old , and the ice cream I got was very thin and watery, not rich and creamy like I had hoped. My sister ordered a peanut butter parfait and ended up just throwing it away becasue it was not very good. Overall, not very good food

This is one of my favorite local shops to pop into! Whether I want coffee, a pastry, a solid snack, or ice cream (or some wonderful combination!), they really do have it all! Their pecan rolls are my favorite, their cakes are amazing, and their brickleberry ice cream has had me coming back for years. And no matter who is behind the counter, they’ve all been friendly and kind!

Cookie I got was incredibly dry, and in all honesty my dirty chai tasted like dirt. I liked this place but this honestly ruined it for me. Waste of $10. :/

solid little bakery/cafe downtown. we've tried their cinnamon rolls/pecan rolls, brioche filled buns, coffee, and tarts. the pecan tart is lovely and chocolate tart divine! looking forward to trying their other pastry options. It's hard to run any business these days, so kuddos to your hard work guys!

Charming coffee shop and bakery. The bakery case was full of amazing looking sandwiches and desserts. They have several GF options. The GF brownie is to die for. I wish I could find one in TX like this one!!

Dietary restrictions: Several GF options for dessert!

The iced mocha is the best I've ever had. Sooo goood!

Panini sandwiches are tasty. And there are so many desserts of all kinds. Cheesecake, bread pudding, cookies, cake, etc.

We haven't been to Carter & Co in a few years, but we decided to pop-in on a recent trip downtown. As with our last visit, we were a bit underwhelmed. The ham and Swiss stuffed brioche we chose was decent, though the bread to filling ratio was not quite right. And the key lime tart we purchased (based on a staff's recommendation) had a bit of a strange texture and flavor profile. The cookie we ordered was quite tasty, so that was a highlight.

This was the first time we opted to sit inside the establishment to eat our treats, and we found the interior a bit dark and drab, definitely in desperate need of some refreshing (as with most businesses in the downtown corridor).

We really want to like this spot, as it is obvious the owner is very passionate about his business, but we've yet to be wowed. Maybe next time?

Finally, we've found a place with vegan options in the local area! I am so thrilled. We had the delicious chai latte with oat milk, a Morning Glory Vegan Muffin (leaving one left), and a Pineapple Orange Guava (POG) sorbet ice cream cone. We hope they have the opportunity to add or rotate vegan options because the paninis look delicious but there aren't any that are fully plant based. It's so great to not have to travel to Seattle for a nice vegan bite. The atmosphere is quaint and inviting. We hope to become regulars.

Vegetarian options: A couple options

Dietary restrictions: Vegan and dairy free options available.
