Kim's Teriyaki Reviews
I was staying at the hotel next to hwy. 16 and was thinking of going into the downtown area of Port Orchard but I got turned around. I spotted the Fred Meyer and decided to pull in and check for a restaurant. Saw Kim’s and went in. I took an order of Chicken Chow Mein back to the hotel. Best Chow Mein I’ve ever had! One order was enough for two, or for leftovers. So Savory.
The food was amazing, the chicken teriyaki was half of the container. Definitely going back again....
This is usually my go to teriyaki place but I’ve tried it twice in the past month and have been disappointed so I guess it’s time to branch out. Chicken is undercooked and chewy. I had to cook the katsu in my air fryer to finish the cooking process. If I wanted to dirty appliances, I would have cooked at home! They no longer give you a salad with combos. It’s a 40 minute round trip drive to go there. I would have returned it for a refund if I lived closer.

Kim's Teriyaki is a popular spot for take-out teriyaki, known for its friendly staff and tasty food. While some reviewers have reported a dip in quality in the past, with burnt chicken and inedible portions, others have found the food to be improved in recent times. The restaurant offers a no-frills experience with solid teriyaki at a good price, making it a great option in town. Located in the back of the Fred Meyer parking lot, it's a convenient stop for a quick and satisfying meal. Customers especially enjoy the chicken teriyaki with white rice, which is often praised for its flavor and quick service, typically ready within 20 minutes. The staff is consistently friendly, and the food quality has been noted as good and reliable. One customer described the salmon teriyaki as "amazing," highlighting its perfect cooking, delicate frying, teriyaki glaze, sesame seeds, and generous portion, making it a favorite choice. While some mention that the chicken can sometimes be a little fatty, overall, the restaurant remains a popular and consistent option for satisfying teriyaki.
