(Looks like my old review disappeared somehow?)
Anyway, the place is a bit of a mixed bag, there's lots of fun food here and a good selection, but everything fried here tastes like they don't change the oil out at all, or like they drain out half the oil when they change it to try to save money or something. I personally avoid the fried food if I can and the food's fine.
Sometimes the fried oil smell gets so bad that just driving home with the food for my grandparents, the car fills with this nauseating smell of old, gross oil, and it doesn't help that everything fried is super greasy, so you take the fish out of the bag after the five-minute drive and everything's completely soaked, smelling a little like, uh, you know that smell when your feet are all sweaty and you take your socks off, but you're so tired that you don't bother to put them in the hamper, and you eventually pick them up after an hour and they've dried, changing the odor to something a bit different? That smell, it kinda smells like that.
What's worse is that if you have any leftovers, the whole fridge picks up a version of that smell, and it grows twice as bad after you reheat the food, on top of everything being soggy with an unholy amount of oil that runs from it.
What stinks (ha) the worst is that I'm generally here to pick up food for my grandparents (now "grandparent", RIP. Unrelated I promise; she passed due to complications from a broken leg), who only like(d) the food here because of decades of loyalty, the Christian theming of a few things here, the few options for fish n' chips in Port Orchard, and their inability to taste food properly, not tasting the awful oil.
Vegetarian options: I've seen a few on the list, though I imagine the reused oil will be absolutely NOT be vegetarian, ha.
Dietary restrictions: Good selection of food across the board, though I imagine the reused oil is definitely a hazard for anyone with any allergies.
Parking: Parking here is HUGE thanks to being shared with the other shop, it's never even half full, though if you park next to the building, there's a good chance you'll struggle a little while trying to get out, as the road between this and the pancake place tends to get busy sometimes.
Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of parking, easy to get to the door.

Everything was amazing. I ordered port teriyaki with steamed vegetables and rice. My friends ordered chicken teriyaki and steamed vegetables and rice and we were all very pleased. Definitely will go back.
The fish and chips were abysmal. The batter was like a thick, hardened brown glue with about a handful of fish dispersed in 8 pieces. We had to peel off the glop to get to what little bit of fish was there. The fries were plentiful and hot but tasted like old grease. My husband got sick about 2 hours after eating a small amount, the rest we tossed ... $50 + dollars later for 2 3 piece meals with 1 extra fry. What were we thinking? Today he is still "sick as an old dog". Seriously... NEVER AGAIN!

I have eaten here many times over the years and the food is good. The restaurant itself is dirty and the tables are covered with bleach (often sprayed while you are sitting at said table). My gripe now however is the pricing they have their menu from a year ago on their website for direct comparison with their current prices. I know that prices have gone up everywhere but the teriyaki fish combo I have always gotten was $22 and is now $32. $32 for fish and teriyaki at this type of restaurant is outrageous. Much nicer and higher end restaurants would not sell cod for that much. From their one year ago pricing you can also see that a 2 piece cod was 10.99 and a 5 piece was $20 now with current pricing it is $19 for a 2 piece. You cannot justify those prices with the food you’re getting here it used to be a great place to get solid food for a good price. But currently these prices are greedy and the inside restaurant is just as gross as it was years ago.

Always good, our go to place in Port Orchard. We get over there 3 to 5 times a year, can't seem to pass it up even when we were thinking about going somewhere else!
