Wonderful! We dropped in on a Thursday night and had amazing steak and cocktails. Definitely recommended.

Great service, delightful ambience; soft music and lighting. However, we believe the chef must have taken the night off as the food was very uninspired.

The food was good however the service was sporadic and didn't explain that the appetizers and desserts were supposed to be shared within the couples. The meal was not delivered as expected as the server didn't know which steak was rare and medium. The staff seemed inexperienced and possilbly just brought on for the holiday. Finally, the price did not reflect the overall experience... too pricey for the overall experience.

You are warned when you come in that they are understaffed but we experienced great service. The salmon special was excellent as was the wine. We ordered a smash burger that was not edible. The desciption on the menu of the smash burger is amazing but the actual burger was dry and the beef patty was dry and scorched pretty black - zero juicy-ness as is classic smash. Overall good experience - make a reservation as they were packed and turning people away if you didn't have one.

The food was delicious. Service was great. Lovely ambiance ♥️ Definitely a restaurant worth another visit.

To be fair, it was a Monday evening on a chilly, blustery day so there was only one other occupied table besides us, making fir a very quiet atmosphere. We hadn't been to Alchemy in years, and I'm glad we came back. The service was just right, the dishes perfectly executed and we had an altogether pleasant evening. The Dungeness and bacon Alfredo was amazing! Definitely recommend as a cozy, intimate place, especially in the winter off-season.

Overpriced for very small portions, additionally lacked a lot of flavor. Do not order the $25 brie. The service was fine enough but could not make up for the food.

It is a very cozy restaurant. The service was great and the food is delicious and more like home cooking. Great martini from the bar!

Enjoyed the lamb shank, and a perfectly cooked (med rare) striploin with truffle butter. Really good food. Average to decent wine list, could have better Washington options.

This place is 10x better with the new owner! Great food. Just wish the offered more grain-free items on the menu. They will accommodate but it would be nice to reflect on the menu. Only issue is usually the staff, per usual port Townsend vibe, isn’t always attentive nor welcoming as the prices reflect. But a MUST for dinner in PT.

Everything from the cocktails, shared plates and entrees was perfect. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Our server has really attentive to make sure that what I ordered I could eat because of food allergies. Definitely will go back again when visiting Port Townsend again.

Walking into the restaurant one feels a sence of understated elegance and comfort. From the music to the excellent service the experience is delightful. One time we went into the restaurant and requested a table, know knowing it wasn't open yet, the waitress checked with the kitchen and they opened for us. We keep going back especially for important occasions.

Alchemy is a nice blend of refined atmosphere and nicely executed food at a reasonable price. My wife had the dungeness crab pasta and I had the lamb bourgiugnon. Both were excellent. The pasta was thin, light, and perfectly cooked. The lamb was "fall off the bone" tender and nicely seasoned, and the flavor combination of the bourgiugnon sauce and polenta was a nice surprise. For wine we indicated we wanted a lighter red and the waitress immediately suggested a very reasonably priced Pinot Noir that was quite good. The atmosphere was very comfortable and refined, not at all noisy, but not so quiet that you felt uncomfortable. It's not Finestere, but it's not Finestere prices, either. This is just a good restaurant serving nicely executed food with a mature and refined atmosphere.
