WOW! What a wonderful little bar! Fantastic food, great drinks (5 star bloody Maria!) Large selection of beer. Wish we were closer, it would be a regular place for us! Went for lunch on a Saturday drive.

I needed to grab a meal, and I'd always seen the Anchor during the Wooden Boat Festival. So, when the opportunity arose to slip in and have a beer and a burger, I jumped at the chance.
I enjoyed a smash burger and fries, and the burger and fries were very enjoyable. The smash Burger's bun was a nice roll, and the pickles really set the burger apart. I also liked the fries, with both salt and pepper. The price with a beer was good too!

Came here for the first time today and ordered two drinks, one being a Long Island. What I got was nothing close—a sad gin-and-coke with zero lemon juice or s & s, not sure if all the liquor was in it. Not even remotely the recipe. Instead of owning the mistake, the bartender called me “mean” and even had their friend at the bar chime in. Completely unprofessional, defensive, and honestly embarrassing. If you don’t know how to make a basic cocktail, at least take 10 seconds to Google it instead of insulting your customers.

My family and I have lived in PT for a few years now and LOVED going to Anchor in the beginning. It had been awhile since we got to go there but we were finally able to yesterday, Sept 7, 2025. Our food and experience a year ago was fantastic. Our food and experience yesterday was terrible! We spent a lot of money there for lunch and the food wasn’t good and wasn’t cooked all the way. We found raw fries in our basket and the bacon on my husband’s burger looked uncooked as well. He couldn’t eat it. On top of that, the girl that took our order was very rude and uninviting. She gave my husband a hard time while placing our order and then again when I asked to get our food in to go boxes. We have to eat outside because we have a young child. So we wanted to go sit at the picnic tables away from the bees out front of the restaurant. We were very excited to go there yesterday after not being there for awhile but after the experience we had, we will not be returning. Totally bummed!

Went to get dinner yesterday with family. Wow, I gotta say, the best smash burger with bacon strips, Teriyaki, avocado, and American cheese also grilled onions too. The hot dog was great too very savory as well. The garlic fries was good too. The thing is that people need to check on the patty and bacon because they were a little burnt which I didn't mind, also how they close the containers for sauces which it spilled by the way. Do better next time. But anyways, excellent food. We will come back next time again.

My husband and I visit Port Townsend often, and The Anchor's burgers are, without a doubt, among the best we've ever had. However, We started getting our food to go because, honestly, the dining area and restrooms had been quite dirty and smelly on previous visits. We came in last Thursday before the Concerts on the Dock, and what a difference! The place looked and smelled wonderful, and we were especially pleased to see how clean the restrooms were. We decided to dine in! Our server was exceptionally friendly and suggested an excellent drink, which really enhanced our meal. You've always had fantastic food, and now, with the greatly improved atmosphere, it's a perfect combination! We were so pleased and will definitely be dining in more often!
Great spot close to the ferry. We had a couple of local beers and appetizers they had on special. Italian beef fries were absolutely amazing. Chowder with salmon very fresh also excellent. Bathrooms were clean staff was friendly. We would definitely go again.

A great pub/bar in the heart of Port Townsend. Many delicious cold beers on tap and the atmosphere and environment are welcoming and cheerful. Good mix of mostly locals and some tourists filtering in and out. Just a great watering hole in town!

Don't get the red clam chowder it's basically tomato soup. Fries are good. I asked for red bull and titos definitely not redbul. First and last time I come here
