This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything is over the top! I have been there three times and every time is even better than I remembered. We had ten different dishes and they were all super yummy!! So I am unable to narrow my recommendations.

Located in Uptown Port Townsend, Washington; Finistere has been the to go place for my annual, sometimes biannual visit from the Bay Area. The dinner menu is always interesting, especially with seafood and pasta selections. Scott, one of the owners/partners manages the Bar area and has been hosting almost every night for 7 years. The bar is well attended by Alexander who pours a great drink and keeps the conversations flowing.
The food is locally sourced, there is a nice patio for outdoor seating all year round. It's both a locals place and attracts out of towners from near and far returning for a memorable dining experience.

Exactly as we had hoped. Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. Highly recommend!

The last few years we have come to Port Townsend two to three times per year. We have eaten at Finisteres every time and have always had such amazing experiences. Tonight we had the oysters to start. Our favorite oysters anywhere. I had the pork chop and it was incredible. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

Well this restaurant may have just ruined every other restaurant I've ever eaten. This was the best meal I've had at a restaurant. We got to sit outside in the sun. We ordered a Spanish rosé it was so good. We also ordered deviled eggs and salmon belly crudo with sourdough bread. The appetizers were absolutely delicious and one of the best things I've ever had. We ordered the Bucatini with shrimp, lemon-thyme cream and leek. Perfectly cooked pasta and shrimp. It was so tasty. The last thing we got was Risotto with nettles, preserved lemon, goat cheese and mint. Truly delicious and amazingly cooked. The service was great and everyone was friendly and professional. I can't even stop talking about how amazing this food was.

This review focuses exclusively on service which was a ZERO. We were walk-ins and placed on a waitlist. No problem. Please come back in 45 minutes. Ok. We walked around town. Things are closing down. We return. Wait another 15 minutes. Then we’re told they “will not be able to seat us”. So now it’s nearly 9 in a small town nothing is open and we’ve been dragged along and now have nowhere to eat. You don’t tell people to come back and then turn them away. They did not say, it’s possible we can’t take you. It was simply come back in 45 minutes and we’ll seat you. Now it’s late, we’re hungry and there is nowhere to eat. Bad service.

Kudos to the kitchen and the wait staff. The stark hard finish decor does nothing to absorb the noise level. The food preparation and presentation is superb. Sadly Ido not recommend this restaurant for those like me who wear hearing aids.

Had dinner here after wrapping up a local 4-hr whale watching tour. Food was incredible! Highly recommend the sourdough, cauliflower, springrain farm greens, carrots, and cape cleare salmon. This place was a treasure of a find for us after a couple days of lackluster food in Forks.

Bravo! We had an amazing small staff dinner at Finistere. The food was out of this world... tender oysters, fresh crab ravioli, mouth-watering steak, delicious ricotta gnudi, flavorful mushroom risotto...Oh! and the homemade lemon ice cream with crunchy white chocolate and shortbread cookies... mmmmm. The service and setting was perfect. Scott, Rosie, Chris, you were wonderful. Hats off to the chef. An outstanding evening all around. Thank you!

Staff are so professional and make you feel so welcome. Our bartender was extremely knowledgeable and educated us about the spirits he used in our cocktails. We ordered fresh oysters and a combo of several small plates, like the butternut squash soup and roasted brussel sprouts. Recommend the marinara meatballs on polenta. It kinda feels like being in Europe, but in a small town in Western Washington. I love this place.

My wife and I dined here on a recent quick trip to Port Townsend and were blown away! Great range and execution of dishes, extraordinary service, and a small but well curated wine list made this a meal to remember! Will definitely be back when we visit next.

Came for happy hour, sampled the lion's share of items on the menu and found them all delicious. Will definitely be back.

Worst experience ever. Shockingly rude ownership and management, dismissive and arrogant. No food is good enough to overcome that.

This is my favorite type of restaurant--low key, great wine and local ingredients. The staff are very welcoming, and the food was amazing. The squash soup was one of the highlights, as well as the halibut. It's pretty small, so make a reservation so you can try it out.
