The building and surrounding property is wonderful. The beds are comfortable and everything inside is simply really nice! Showerheads are a little low so you have to bend your head down and there’s a couple of big potholes on the street coming into the parking area that you have to look out for. I didn’t try to food there so I can’t comment on that. I’d stay here again though!
What a disappointment. My partner and I have stayed at this hotel before and had a lovely time. This time, I mistakenly booked the wrong dates on the inn's own website directly; I emailed within a couple minutes, but they've refused to issue any refund. When I called they told me they did book out for that night, and now I suspect they were overbooked and wouldn't have had a room for us if we did arrive. I'm sad that I won't be able to support the inn with such poor guest services. I see at least one other review with the same experience.
If anyone is curious, the Inn showed three rooms open for the night I booked mistakenly a little after 11pm, and I emailed about the mistake within a half hour.
Cool piece of PT history. Beware… no AC in rooms. Room stayed 80-90 degrees all night. Not real comfortable.
I tried to check out early but their policy is 40 hours prior to your stay. So no refund.
Cool place to stay, but may want to avoid in the August heat.
Neat place to hear local music, and great Mexican food too.
My Son (10y/o) wanted to investigate a haunted hotel. The staff was awesome, told us stories about the hotel and spots they'd experienced things. We got some good readings despite having a very comfortable night's sleep. Even if you're not looking for Ghosts, the Manresa has some interesting history and beautiful common rooms. The restaurant was great as well!
What an awesome experience! Amber Dawn checked us in and she was full of fun facts about this historic place! We stayed in the King Spa Sweet and despite my husband not having a ghost experience, I did. The lights changed color in the bathroom from one day to the next! It was awesome. I also would pay additional to be able to read the room logs for 302 and 306!
Excellent time
We had an excellent stay in the king spa suite. Amber Dawn greeted us and made the check in experience top notch. Her knowledge of the buildings lore and its stories is a treasure in itself. The lounge has a great selection of food and drinks. We were treated with an open mic night during our stay which added to our enjoyment. The only downside is that we didn’t get a chance to meet any of the ghostly guests. We will be back again!
PS: we want to read the room books from other guests haunted experiences! Sadly they didn’t have them available because we’d gladly pay extra for that!
Friendly staff, beautiful building, enchanting views of the harbor. Charm of a Victorian era building.
Hotel staff gave me other patrons name and room number while checking in. None of my buisness but super unsafe as a woman staying here alone. Rooms stink like smoke.
My room had bed bugs 🤮 front desk service was absolute trash.
Restaurantji Recommends
We are huge Ghost Adventures Fans and been to a lot of the filming locations and was super blessed to walk through this place! Highly recommend this place to dine in and have a drink it’s a must!
Extremely poor service, I booked online and called within one minute with no changes available. They charged my credit card then cancelled my room which made it inaccessible with no refund. Absolutely disgusting.
nice place
This hotel is not what I had imagined at all. It was an upscale dive but the staff were very friendly and it was clean! The hotel was old and old and tired and just needs a lot of TLC. There is potential for this to be really cute. I didn’t even take any pictures. I just got some sleep and left.
Love it here. Amber dawn is the best and so informative on the history of the castle 🏰 the beds could be a little more comfortable but that's just my personal preference on mattress softness. We stay here about 10-15 times a year.
