My husband and I actually love this place and stop in every time we are in town. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they allow dogs. Don't get me wrong, dogs are great. Service animals are an understandable and wonderful thing. I have allergies to dogs, though, and it makes it difficult to relax and enjoy great beer and company. The beer is terrific and why we keep stopping in.

Great place to grab a pint! Wandered into this friendly tap room. Server was really nice. Great beer - we had the hop diggity IPA. Would go back for sure

9/19/23 Updated photos - beer list - Nice place that is cozy inside with a nice beer garden outside. Great service with a nice variety of beers crafted on location. Live bands are a regular feature in the beer garden. Reasonable prices. It's easy to find, access, and exit. Please provide a thumbs-up if you found this to be helpful Thx!!

What a great neighborhood brewery with excellent beer. I did a flight and loved the reel amber, the hazy, the porter and the Scotch ale. All the beers were excellent. It's a small place with lots of locals, great places to sit with games, cards and chess. Right by the marina, it makes for a lovely evening. But go early. They close at 7 on week days

Can't comment on the beer because i don't drink but hands down the rudest staff i have ever had the displeasure of interacting with.

Usually, it can't be expected that a brewery does more than one style of beer well, or has more than a couple of outstanding beers. Port Townsend Brewing is the exception. Their scotch ale was outstanding. The stout might have been better. And two of the IPAs I tried were phenomenal. Add that there is a variety of places to sit and enjoy a pint, with your dog, one other person, or a group, and it seems unfair that the rating limit is only five stars.

One of the co-owners (female), has continually berated and insulted customers over the years because of them not keeping an ‘open’ tab. She lit into one customer about it because it cost her money to run a card ‘just for one beer’. I have witnessed her in the past scream at patrons or musicians that she hired to play events, who I am sure never came back. I have been going here since 2015 and recently was the target of her rage and unprofessionalism. I was insulted (you’re a designated driver, well good for you!) because I did not order an alcoholic drink due to being a designated driver and that I had inadvertently brought in a bottle of water. This set her off when I told her I would take my bottle back to my car. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this business and I will be sharing my experience with friends in Seattle, abroad and Jefferson County. There are also three other breweries that offer the same, if not more, without the narcissistic outrages from the co-owner.

I want to say some positive things about this place. Especially the beer, the scotch ale is my favorite, and it isn't easy to come by at other breweries or in the local supermarkets...However, the service from one of the co-owners (blonde female) has always been a roller coaster. I have been going to this brewery for years. I have witnessed some of the most horrendous and rude behavior from her towards customers and even some of the musicians she has hired for events. This past weekend, she focused her behavior towards me and pretty much insulted me for being a designated driver and not ordering a beverage as soon as she came to the chair I was sitting in. I was also berated for having a bottle of water with me (there as a 8 x 11 sign posted below the fence that I did not see coming in). So, I offered to put it back in my car (so I didn't forget it) and ordered a bottle of mineral water from her business. She brought it to my seat and then came the snide remark about being a designated driver. How does a business thrive with this type of ownership?I should have never given any more of my business when I first witnessed her rude behavior years ago (screaming at someone who didn't keep an open tab because they just stopped in for one beer) or yelling at musicians who were 'playing too loud' at her venue that she hired! This should be a place to relax, have a beer or two, maybe enjoy some music, but it is not. Fortunately, Port Townsend has grown and now offers three other breweries to choose from along with live music. The beer, scotch ale the exception, being typical of any brewery and the seething general attitude towards customers is not worth ever coming back here.

Comfortable, friendly brewery with a good selection of different types of beers (plus a few wines) for whatever you are thirsty for.

Stopped in for a couple of beers while camping at Fort Worden. Was very impressed with the selection on tap. Brew-tender was very friendly and provided guidance. My wife enjoyed the amber and I really enjoyed the Hop Diggity IPA . Added bonus was big selection of board games to play while we enjoyed our brews. Backgammon and beer are a great pairing!
