I do not recommend it, very bad and food that has been there for many days and smells bad.

One of the worst lunch experiences I can remember. Nobody was in front of us, and it took nearly 45 minutes for our food to be ready. I ordered a shredded chicken burrito that barley had any meat or beans in it, and was comprised of ~90% of flavorless cabbage and rice. Too bad, as the location and atmosphere with outdoor seating was quite nice. Apparently, you need to bring food from elsewhere to truly enjoy it.

Slow service, no flavor, very little fish on the taco - mostly just cabbage.

Fish burrito was all cabbage and rice with a tiny bit of old dry flavorless fish. Way overpriced for what it is. $2.50 for a small side of salsa that should have been free with 4 meals. We definitely won't be back.

there was only one order for two Tacos ahead of us. We had to wait around half an hour to get our two tacos. Then they were mostly cabbage and not very good. Would not recommend

The tacos are stuffed, warm, tasty and filling.Mexican food is expensive here in Port Townsend. 3 tacos for $15 is average price. This place is truly generous. Homemade salsa and salsa bar outside you can take with you in Togo ramekins with lids. Also tapitio too!Thank you for sharing home cooking with this community.

Glad I found this place. I had Chile Verde burrito and gf had two soft cod tacos. We both thoroughly enjoyed them. It was like $22. While waiting We grabbed beers at port townsend brewery and looked at boats. Going to hit this place to buy fish sometime too.

Definitely has potential, as the fish is excellent, and there's a wide array of salsa choices, including several that are actually spicy and hot. However, they need to know that CORN TORTILLAS MUST BE COOKED! Without heating, they are wet slimy pieces of crumbly cardboard. When heated on both sides -- hot -- and pressed down with the skillet, magic happens, they become structurally sound and taste good. After two bites, I took my taco home, disassembled it, cooked the tortilla, rebuilt it, and enjoyed a good taco.
Some of the best tacos I've ever had! And thats me coming from New Mexico lol. Perfectly balanced portions at a great price. My #1 spot to eat at when I'm visiting.
This place is confused. Bloated, over-seasoned, underwhelming taco, prepared like a cafeteria lunch, with a bewildering amount of unnecessary ingredients (Cisco pico and Kraft-like shredded cheese blend?)... and no real inspiration... It went right in the trash. So much meat and slop, so little flavor. Rice and beans are entirely regrettable. Our marina workers deserve better.
Their chili verde tacos are amazing. We also just discovered that the fish market next door (Key City Fish) sells a $25 annual membership that gives you a 10% discount there and at the taco stand. We eat here enough that we went ahead and purchased one.Note: These negative reviews mostly seem to be about how long the wait is, but we call ahead and never have to wait more than 10-12 minutes. Besides, don’t you want them to wait until you order to make your order? This isn’t McDonald’s, but there’s one just down the street if that’s what you prefer.
I am a long time customer. The food is delicious, especially the tacos. Make sure you have plenty of napkins, you'll need them . Call ahead or be prepared to wait. There is usually only one person working the stand manning the register, taking orders, and preparing the food(it was this way before Covid too). Today it's an hour wait just to order and get food. Until today the longest time I had to wait was 45 minutes and that was a few years before Covid, I witnessed that employee that day cry while making the food after another employee inside Key City Fish came over to yell at her in front of us customers. I'm hoping today's employee gets a raise and praise for doing the work of at least 2-3 people at once. I've only ever seen more than one person working the stand twice. As I am finishing this review it's now been over an hour. Hoping this employee is able to get a break soon, she deserves it!
