Man I love this local spot. My favorite is the smoked chicken club with yam fries, delicious. The service is excellent and on the first Monday of every month in the summer you can sit outside and watch the antique cars and hot rods cruise town and park across the street 5-7. Or you can sit in the cool old bar and have a tasty adult beverage.
The old whiskey mill is amazing and delicious 😋
Great food, friendly staff, beautiful space.
Busy, food was ok
I had acouple drinks. The Hayride is lovely.
I ordered the prime rib dip. It smelled great. The meat was tender and delicious. The Au Jus was the worst EVER. It was ice cold and beyond flavorless. I tried to add some salt, horseradish (eager to add some) ketchup, nothing could flavor this dish water dip.
I tried to get the server/bartenders attention but decided to wrap the rest of the sandwich. I surely have a packet of Schilling AuJus at home.
The check reflected no adjustment for a horrible meal. Likely not gonna try again.
Had a salad and a burger. They were ok. But not really $62 worth of food in my opinion. Burger was tough, dressing tasted like from a bottle.
Maybe better for drinks and poutine? That’s more what this place is known for.
Service was inattentive due to another large party taking up our server’s time. We saw her for the order and that’s it. Very nice overall, just not a ton of attention to our table.
Good, fun atmosphere. Food is great. I haven't tried anything I don't like.
Day trip with friends to lovely Port Townsend and stopped by here for lunch. Place was busy but we were able to get a table outside and enjoy the great weather. Service was fantastic. Quick and thoughtful. We tried various items on the menu - Bulgogi steak tacos, fried oysters, whiskey wings, and a traditional burger. Bulgogi steak tacos were the fave among the group. Fried oysters were delicious also: seasoned well, tender and ‘meaty.’ The wings were not a hit, they were regular cooked wings with bbq sauce, not hot wing fried then sauced up. The wings were not fully cooked to the bone so those sat there and were tossed. The burgers were very good but the patty was a little crispy burnt while the inside was fairly pink/rare. Still good but would have been the best burger I’ve had if it weren’t a little burnt and rare. Giving 4 stars for the not fully cooked chicken wings and the hamburger, however I will definitely go back when visiting Port Townsend and would still recommend to others. Side note: other diners near us were extremely satisfied with their food and everything looked delicious. A couple of diners had the sweet potato burger and said they really enjoyed it. I don’t think you can go wrong here.
Server was friendly and helpful. Food was good. Will go back for sure.

Decent lunch stop, toasted sourdough on my chicken club was a bit dry and crumbly, otherwise everything was very good.

We always stop by for lunch during our annual trip to Port Townsend. Cozy spot for a burger and beer break from the chilly fall weather and shopping. Love that there's poutine on the menu.

I wish I could say I enjoyed this restaurant but I guess there's a reason I've only come twice in the 11 years I've lived in PT. My friend and I came in for lunch and both left disappointed. The menu looked fun and had some unusual choices, one of which I decided to try. The Gnocchi Goulash. It was a mistake. It was simply terrible. The gnocchi were massively overcooked and basically turned into a paste. The sauce was heavy, chunky and unpleasant tasting. I had indigestion for hours after that. My friend had a cup of the chowder - which is basically a thick flour paste and insipid in flavor - and the smoked chicken salad which featured potatoes that appeared to have been microwaved...gummy and wet. Overall we both left wishing that we'd not eaten there. Service was also not great either.
Anyway, we took a risk on trying it and we ended up with a loss. I won't be making that mistake again.

Staff was kind.
But The food was terrible and very burnt… twice. My husbands food was cold. I’ve only been there a couple times but each time it was terrible food. I hoped it had changed. :(

Items on menu need properly labeled (previously frozen). Vegetables were way over cooked, mashed potatoes had lumps in them. Staff needs to be honest and knowledgeable about what they are serving.
