Shocked! In the best way! Came in not expecting much, finished my entire plate (which is rare). Food was amazing (had the noodles -great- and chicken/rice - good, needed more sauce). Service was so friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was quaint and chill. Would definitely recommend! Only weird thing was the wording on the menu, a little confusing and seemed to be an inside joke that didn't translate to the general public.

The Rook and Green Room have hands-down been my favorite places for food and drinks in town. The creativity and quality of the food and drink menu is excellent. When I dine out, the ambience of the space and quality of food are equally important to me. Recently, some updates were made to the Rook and it’s lost its charm. It’s not nearly as cozy and inviting as it once was. The space is now more open but somehow doesn’t flow well. While I can see the utility of the updates with new flooring and a large bar, the experience of dining in the space was awkward. I’m hoping there are more modifications planned to restore some of the lost atmosphere. I would love to love going there again.

We had dinner last night. Server Isabelle very sweet. Food was okay, nothing to rave about. Presented birthday discount coupons we were sent by email. They couldn't redeem them due to their register glitch. We had to sit there for 20+ minutes waiting to leave while 3 employees made a spectacle out of trying to process the coupons in front of the other diners. After such time we politely told the manager Autumn that this was causing an inconvenience to us. She actually said "I don't care, I'm not losing my job over this!" Isabelle I am sorry we didn't tip you, but your managers rudeness was uncalled for. Castle owners, maybe it's time to teaching your staff what customer service is. - Dave

Great food, service and atmosphere. Truly exceptional Lamb and the fries were terrific. We splurged on the cheesecake, it was heavenly.
