Please switch to plant-based ice cream. Dairy is inherently extremely cruel to cows.
I tried the banana split flavor. The flavor combo was really delicious. The texture is totally bizarre in a way I am officially loving! This icecream has...a cheese-pull. I have never-ever had another icecream like it.
Please put a greater emphasis (through the branding) on the unique texture. I did not initially see on the label that it was not a typical texture. It should be more front and center! I think it may benefit your brand to do so.
I bought this ice cream at PCC when it was on clearance. It literally has the texture of snot - it's SO disgusting. Now I see why it was on clearance. The flavor was also mediocre - especially compared to the high quality of many other local ice cream brands. And the holier-than-thou attitude about not using air in the ice cream (to have a palatable texture LOL!!) is really off-putting. Not sure who "invented" this but it sucks ?

This is the BEST ice cream EVER…if you’d just make bubble gum and licorice !!

My husband found their address during a road trip but didn’t see hours. We stopped by at 8:30 am on a Monday morning only to realize it was their factory not a storefront. They still let the whole family come in and told us about their ice cream and gave us free samples. Fantastic ice cream and amazing customer service.

Just tried Acme Valley for the first time. It is easily the best ice cream I’ve ever had and I hope that our local Whole Foods continues to carry it! Well done!
Not to my liking.

spent way to much money on this at PCC. would not buy again. texture is gooey and chewy and gross. flavor was ok. i don’t buy the explanation that it is the lack of air that causes the chewiness because other ice cream is not like this
This ice cream is the best! Such an awesome, unique texture. (If it's too gummy you didn't wait long enough! I know it's hard because it's so delicious, haha.)

People complaining about the texture? Really? This ice cream is delicious! And locally sourced ingredients! The texture is a bit dense… a nice change from the air-infused, cheaper ice creams. And dude, if the texture is so off-putting, let the ice cream sit for a minute or two and melt a bit. Texture “problem” solved!

How can anyone complain about gooey ice cream? :)

I would like to confirm the other reviewers' comments - this ice cream is really sticky and gummy. I noticed it before I even tasted it while trying (with great difficulty) to get a clean scoop from the carton. It's like bubblegum.I don't believe the company's response that it's because "they remove the air" making a denser ice cream. Many other premium ice creams don't have this off putting texture, nor do they include the amount of stabilizing gums as ingredients. Haagen Daz Vanilla Ice Cream: Cream, Milk, Sugar, Egg Yolk and Vanilla Extract - it can be that simple! The flavor profile of Acme was good - but it was hard to overcome the texture.

Good flavor. Strange texture that is off putting and speaks to the ratio of ingredients they use. It is... Stretchy.
Bought t egg peppermint flavor at Town and Country. The vaunted “taffy-like texture “ is something I did not know was their signature feature. To be fair that may be what some people love but it is definitely not what I am looking for. That texture comes from way too much guar gum or locust bean gum or other texturizer ingredients. Those gums are used to make ice cream creamy without the expense of cream. However they use so much that it is like Elmer’s glue with flavor. That is a novelty I prefer not to experience with my ice cream. It is immensely difficult to find an ice cream that does not use gums but at least most use it in moderation.Short story, if creamy, rich ice cream is what you want, skip this. If you like novelty, they have what you want.
