This is hands-down, the best restaurant in the entire Poulsbo area. The fast, friendly service combined with the excellent menu makes for an outstanding experience.

We were somewhat taken aback with all those bad reviews about the same issues, and obviously Management does not seem to be bothered by them - as they keep coming... But we were going to give it another try and went there to celebrate my birthday with another couple. Maybe we're not that fussy, or just luck'd out that evening, but the food and service were quite good. But wishing the owners would find a way to offer consistently excellent food and service, which used to be impeccable when they first opened!

We had a group of 14 for Sunday brunch. The menu had food and drink choices to please everyone. The food was excellent. Jackson was an attentive server. We did need the music in our room turned down in order to carry on conversations.
A caution - large group reservations need special arrangements. Groups of 15 or more will not receive individual checks - one total for all.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had!
We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday at Crabtree Kitchen + Bar, and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and elegant… perfect for a special occasion.
The highlight was the steak, sourced from their own family ranch just outside of town. Truly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had - cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and you could taste the quality. The farm-to-table concept here isn’t just a buzzword, it’s the real deal.
Service was outstanding… attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. You can tell the staff and leadership take pride in what they do.
Between the rustic yet refined setting, the amazing food, and the care that went into every detail, Crabtree Kitchen + Bar is a restaurant that sets the bar high. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Poulsbo.

For 3 times in a row we have struck out and have yet to have a good experience with the food after telling everyone how wonderful this place is for years… We were frequent flyers 2 years ago and recently in the last 3 months have had brunch once (cold/raw food), dinner where they ran out of literally everything and the server was starting to get rude because we were frustrated, then tonight where nothing could seem to go right.. Might try again in the future, the server was wonderful but the kitchen and servers are not on the same page with the menu, the quality of the cooking is just not there (under done asparagus, raw ribeye, no seasoning, everything tastes like flames and was cold) and for an expensive open kitchen restaurant someone needs to be tasting EVERY dish leaving the kitchen and that is no longer happening here. You can make any dish look pretty but it needs to taste as good as it looks.
My review from 2 years ago we left a 5 star review: Andi was our server and she did such a great job, made us feel like VIPs. The steaks were excellent and we loved the appetizers and cocktails! Highly recommend! This is the best steak in kitsap county but we will be returning because of the service Andi provided!!

They are wanting to do more to the food than they are capable of doing. Lots of seasoning and way too much oil.

Went there for breakfast, waited 1.5 hours to be seated. All of our food was cold. The Egg benedict was like hard boiled eggs. Paid 120 bucks for cold breakfast. Not a very great experience.
Food was fair
Steak on the tough side and Food was also on the cool side.

This was our third time here and will be our last. We really wanted this restaurant to do well, since it is owned by a lovely family and we thought that maybe it would just take time for them to learn the restaurant business. Unfortunately, they have not figured it out. We waited almost 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. There were several mistakes with our order. One plate came out cold after sitting under the heat lamp for more than 10 minutes. Do NOT order the cod and chips. Very little cod, mainly breading. Almost inedible. The chicken was overcooked. One person asked for substitutions of a side, did not get it. Then our check came out with an overcharge for an item we did not receive.
We will not be returning.

In town for Viking Fest, we stopped for breakfast before heading to the event. There was no wait, and we were seated promptly. Patricia, our server, was warm and attentive. She wasn't the least bit flustered by my food allergies, nor did she make me feel like an inconvenience. I can't tell you how much I have come to appreciate that! Our party had The Usual, Classic Eggs Benedict, and Smoked Salmon Omelet with no complaints. There's lots to discover in Poulsbo. We are quite pleased with this latest gem.

Just left here after celebrating a Mother’s Day brunch. Such a special outing and left us extremely frustrated and disappointed. 11am reservation and wasn’t seating until almost 11:25am. Took 20 minutes after ordering to receive drinks from the bar. And nearly and hour and half to get our food. Food was under seasoned, room temperature from sitting under the heat lamp for almost 10 minutes and overcooked. No apologies from waiter or manager who brought us our food for the wait time. We made eye contact with several tables around us and started talking how we should have went to Dennys to get better food and service. Only highlight was the free dessert they brought the moms. We have given Crabtree so many chances since they opened and we always feel the same when we leave. Such a shame for such a nice atmosphere but they really do not know time management at all.
