The last few times have been the food has been disappointing. Both the breakfast and lunch tasted of old fat. The hash browns and grilled sandwich reeked of stale oil and I found both inedible. Recently I ordered a Ruben sandwich, aside the bread tasting off, the sandwich was very greasy.

Not bad! It was a Monday. We went early because we heard the place was packed on weekends. There was still a steady flow of customers for a weekday. The pancake and eggs were delicious. My friend ordered a waffle with sausage. My friend is a big guy. So, when he told me that he was full from one waffle...I was amazed. Forget about refills. The waitress brings you out a big glass of soda or juice with little ice. The price was excellent. For a Poulsbo diner, it was affordable. 2-3 bussers were there waiting for requests from customers. I love staff who pay attention to me at a restaurant. Diner had a 1950s vibe. Very impressive with the "oldies" music selection. Military discount was an added bonus. (smile) Thanks for honoring us, who serve.

Just came here for our spring break vacation. We were passed over by two tables before finally getting help. The food was substandard and extremely expensive. Will not return.

Corned beef hash waaaaay to salty (and I like salty foods) with much less meat than I hoped for given the price. Server was kind and friendly but very slow service. Took 30+ minutes to order from entering with no wait list. Lovely place, but average food and servuce.

Very “meh” experience. They completely forgot about our appetizer and the service was very substandard.

Super cute old school diner, with good service. We went for breakfast, and it was your average run of the mill breakfast food. I had previously tried to go here THREE separate times for lunch on a weekend and didn't feel like waiting 45-60 minutes for a table when there are other good restaurants within walking distance that had immediate seating.

I always would stop at this fifties diner when we'd visit the cute little town of Poulsbo. This time it was just before the lunch rush and the server was a bit pushy. Instead of my usual hamburger and milkshake, I rushed into the chicken basket and shake. The shake was OK, but not as thick as past visits and the chicken basket was awful. The chicken fingers amounted to three very tiny pieces of chicken with a half inch of tasteless deep fried crud around them. The fries were just OK and the coleslaw had no taste. I might try the hamburger again, but this is not my go-to place anymore.

I wanted to keep it a secret a Little longer but they always packed because they know what they are doing. I'll be back for sure

The food came out quickly, and it's a cute diner. The food was mediocre, but the service was terrible. Three people were working the front, and we were ignored by all of them. The wrong food was brought and they refused to fix it and refused to fix the pricing. We spoke with two different people about the issue. It was a terrible experience. Do not recommend. We also sat without a drink for over twenty minutes. We had to flag someone down to get water.

An unexpected visit but a pleasant one. Our waiter was young, he didn't really go out of his way to be cheery. The food was slightly salty. My only suggestion is to cut back on the salt otherwise it was a good experience.

If you're looking for a place to eat and you want a place that can do all-day breakfast then Green Light Diner can help you out. However, be prepared to wait because while it is a sit-down restaurant the speed of service is a crapshoot. I also personally advice against ordering the buttermilk pancakes because while they're huge and perfect size for big eaters, the one pancake I bought was undercooked and soggy even though I didn't add that much syrup or butter on it. It tasted good but the texture reminded me of a pancake soaked in water. I left about a quarter left on the plate by the time I was done. If I ate all of it I would've been sick. But the staff is friendly and you can meet a good amount of locals there if you're from out of town. I just think you need to be careful about what you order because it can arrive undercooked.

Food was abhorrent, cold potatoes. Awkward staff, the only reason it has recognition is because it's not a chain restraunt. I'd rather get a mcdonalds breakfast than step foot in this place again.

We've always wanted to come here as we're big fans of locally owned dinners. Let's start with our arrival! Horrible! Two staff members saw us come in as they were chitchatting and ignored us and walked to the back kitchen area. One came out, stood around near the back forcing me to walk up to her and asked if we were ever going to be seated! Once seated, it took her almost ten minutes to bring us menus (don't know if she was "busy" in the back but she sure appeared she didn't want to serve us). When she finally came with the menus, she flipped mine with almost an attitude of "here you go!" NOT GOOD! Another server came and took our order - she was much more pleasant! My wife ordered the avocado toast w egg and I ordered the "make it yourself" burger. The avocado definitely looked old and brownish - she could only stomach two bites! I specifically asked for a single burger with onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard and ketchup. It was missing the onions, ketchup and mustard. I got up to see if I can get some ketchup and mustard and the attitude I got was BEYOND acceptable from our original server. I waited and it took her exactly 8 minutes to bring a small amount of mustard forgetting the ketchup! So, I got up again and retrieved a ketchup from a table from customers who left. By the time I ate my burger, the bread on the bottom patty was so soggy from all the grease it was impossible to hold together. Bottom line - watch out!!! We left extremely disappointed! We will NEVER go back! Better to eat breakfast/lunch at Dennys or drive to Silverdale for better dinner type options. We eat breakfast and lunch out every weekend and we will ensure to tell all we know never to go here if they're curious. The establishment will be just fine as it continues to operate mostly to tourist but if you look at yelp, you'll see a pattern of bad service - with some replies from the establishment with a smug remark of "you need to bring it up with management before you leave" thus deflecting! NO, you first need to train your staff properly and take reviews as lessons learned! Unless a safety or hygiene issue, this is what "reviews" are for! Maybe there's a reason for the many "bad service" reviews??
