Grounds for Change Coffee

Holy Smokes! I have been looking for some fresh local, organic, fair trade coffee and I have found it. I’ve only tried the Sumatra so far but I am blown away. The coffee is smooth without a hint of acidity or burnt. The coffee is not oily so it will not plug up my grinder. It was exciting to watch the coffee bloom as I brewed it in my Chemix this morning, another sign of the freshness. So glad to have found a local coffee option for my home brewing.

The fact that the beans procured by Grounds For Change are completely fair trade, organic, shade grown, and roasted to order made them a perfect choice. I made a quick phone call regarding a shipping inquiry shortly after placing my order online. The lady who answered the phone was very kind and helpful and resolved my question seamlessly. Box arrived quickly, and beautifully packed. Excited messages from J with rave roast reviews each time a new bag is opened, and was excited to learn more about Grounds For Change and their inspiring non-profit involvement. We’ve been ordering all of our coffee from them for at least five years, maybe longer, started with the monthly subscription. We periodically try other coffees but we love all of their roasts. All the shipments always freshly roasted and every batch has been excellent, consistent.

I have been ordering my coffee from Grounds for Change for several years now. I love the taste of the coffees I select, the excellent descriptions of each different coffee, and the opportunity to support this company that treats all who supply their coffee beans, and all who purchase their coffee with consideration and fairness. I live in IL and ship from their extensive decaf menu. Can get whole bean or choose from different types of ground. Delicious coffee from a socially conscious organic source. I refuse to drink hot pesticides.

This company offers top notch coffee. I love that they're a B-corporation. And they are extremely easy to work with on wholesale side of things. Been serving their coffee at our restaurant for several years now and I really have zero complaints. Do not pass them up!
