This is truly one of the best restaurants I've enjoyed in Poulsvo, WA. The atmosphere is totally pleasant, and the various paintings inside are more than enjoyable. And above all, the food is super delicious.

Was a guest of our contractors, Ken Perry and Randy Bell and guests included the Nesby family. My dish was the Fajita Salad with Chicken. Chicken tenders, not dried out . Very tasty with a variety of texture produced by the items in the salad.

Ordered chile relleno & menudo. Let’s start with the positive! Sat down immediately. Clean atmosphere with traditional Mexican music. The good kind like Vicente Fernandez. Nice clean menus & booth. Took our drink order right away. Nicely brewed iced tea with lemon. They served chips with salsa, refried beans & a cold mushroom/red onion relish. It was good.The menu has lots to offer! I couldn’t make up my mind. I settled on menudo and my Husband, the chile relleno. The menu is served in a clay bowl piping hot (most restaurants don’t serve it proper but this one did!) Good portion. Served with lime, crushed pepper, jalapeños, oregano & onion. Your choice of tortillas. You have a choice of red or white menudo. I got red it was a bit tomatoey and I expected the smoky pepper base I’m used to. Tasty but $20 is a little steep. The chile relleno is served in a tomato sauce with beans and rice. Just 1 chili relleno and a dollop of beans & rice. Good taste we were expecting it with no sauce and more than one. Not the restaurants problem. Total was around $45. Servers were okay, I feel like it could have been better, like something was off, maybe the manager was taking orders or something? I heard one gal super nice speaking Spanish to the people behind us. Seems like they got a really attentive server. We asked for more chips, never got any salsa to go with them. Despite that I will definitely give this place a second chance. Dinner next time with some carne asada and margaritas or something?

Food was awful. Service was good but food was old and dry, without usual mexican flavor and just plan low quality.
We are from Texas, so the food was much different from what we are used to. We are used to” Tex-Mex,” and this was different from what we eat. I ordered spinach enchiladas, which generally are loaded with spinach, but they were not. They had some beans in them.

I have gone here before and it was a wonderful experience. Sat outside and had my Michealada, a good meal, nice lady that warms your heart serving me. Today I tried to grab a drink and a meal while waiting for the DMV line. I asked if I could sit outside and for 1, the guy kinda laughed and said no it’s not clean out there. I thought he was joking, but no, he really was just too damn lazy to walk back and forth outside (I’m pretty sure) it’s nice and sunny outside too. I said the other lady that served me set me up outside and he said in a very condescending tone “yeah the OTHER lady not me”, I gave him the bird and some nice language before I decided to never come here again. f that guy

I hadn't gone here in years because the last time I went the food was so bad, but it was on the way and something simple. I stopped by just to get rice. I asked the man if I could order rice to go and he said yes and just walked off without giving me a price. He came back with a plate of rice and said it was $10. For rice. Keep in mind there's no one else in the entire restaurant and this is a plate of rice. Nothing else. I said that was more than I was expecting for rice and I'd have to pass. He made a rude smirking sound and went to the back and got someone else. That person asked if I was red a smaller size and I said yes, that's more than I was ready to spend on just rice. He told me I could go home and make it myself. I went to Casa Luna (MUCH better food) and they said it was $4 for rice. Seems like Isla Bonita was either overcharging because the restaurant was empty or they really think their food is that much better.. It's not.. 🤷🏼♀️ But either way.. Giving them a second chance was a mistake. Won't be going back.
