The Beautiful Polusbo Safeway Gas Station The Good Things - extremely clean gas station - the pumps were clean, there was no trash on the ground, the trash cans were emptied as they needed to be! - very well lit area, as a person alone at night (especially as a woman) it can be scary stopping to get gas, but the gas station had a lot of light in the area so it felt pretty safe. along with it is in a populated area, the safeway grocery store is right next to it, and there are usually people around! - there are a lot of spaces for you to pull in, it's definitely not crammed at all! and on either side there is a good amount of space to wait in line if need be! - love the gas station attendant at the pump (i provided pictures!) :-) The "Bad" Things - the first pump i pulled into, the keypad sadly did not work. i tried to enter my Safeway number and it simply didn't respond. however i just moved my car one pump over and it worked great! - the "gas mart" (small store near to the pumps) is not open late (i believe it closes around 9) which is a little disappointing however if you urgently need something, the Safeway grocery store is across the parking lot! - I may be incorrect about this, but i believe there isn't a trash can by every pump! and they are placed in strange spots! however this didn't come as an issue at all, and i could be completely wrong! Overall, wonderful gas station! I absolutely love it! And don't forget to use your safeway card to save on gas (I got $1 off per gallon the time before last & $.60 off per gallon the last time!)
I called this evening to get information about flowers for a wedding. I was told by whoever answered the phone in the floral department that I'd have to come in for an appointment. I just wanted to have a conversation to get a rough idea for pricing and what they're able to provide before I drive 2 hours away to this Safeway. I was quickly and rudely rush off the phone because she had a customer in front of her. She could have politely asked if she could put me on hold while she helped this customer and I would have said yes and I would have waited. But instead she said she had to let me go because she had someone and I would just have to come in at a scheduled appointment. But she didn't even give time to think of when I could drive 2 hrs to this store. She just listed off when she would be there and to make an appointment and got off. I don't mean to come across negative but if I'm wanting flowers for a wedding and I'm willing to spend several hundred dollars the least you can do is to give me 5 minutes of time and not brush me off the phone very rudely.
This rating is only for the drive up service. Comparing it to another local pick up service in the area I must say the other service is simply better all around. At both places you have to schedule a time in advance, a one hour window. I selected a 3 o'clock pick up time and by time I checked out which was in within 10 minutes my pick-up time had moved down to 4 PM. When my order was ready I never received a text telling me, however I did find an email in my spam that said my order was ready at 2:16!!! I wish I would've had the option of a text. When I pulled into the pick up parking space I read the instructions for pick up, it said to call the phone number listed on the parking space placard and let them know which parking space I'm in (there are only two parking spaces however neither are numbered) and when I initially called the phone number it rang probably 10 times and I got no answer so I hung up thinking I got the phone number wrong and called back, it rang about five times before someone answered, they replied they would be out soon, they were out within about 5 minutes. I never got a final receipt and typically this wouldn't frustrate me however, at Safeway you can add the "just for you" coupons (different Safeway app!!) and I want to be sure they've applied to my order, in the past they haven't and come to find out later on this day, the ground beef coupon hadn't yet again. I want my $1.20 a pound savings on ground beef, that's expensive these days! At the other store in the area when I pay for a pick up service the final payment online is the price I pay, all coupons and discounts are applied at the time of check out online. I receive a receipt immediately via email and see everything accurately ahead of time. At Safeway you don't always know your correct total in advance. Also, at Safeway the gal never tells you if something was substituted or out, so I get all the way home and I find out something is missing, so then I have to call to determine if they forgot it or they were out of stock! When I shop the other pick up store in the area, customer service couldn't be better, the first thing they do is go over substitutes or out of stock items. Anyway, would I recommend pick up here, no, but will I again, yes, small orders only and ask when I arrive, IS EVERYTHING HERE?
turn off fireplace for the summer haha
I have been to this Safeway many times following my poor review of the condition of the ladies bathroom. I am so glad to say that each time I have been here, after my review, the bathrooms have been clean and tidy. The manager contacted myself after I wrote my concern on the Safeway website. She was very very nice and receptive to my concerns. I appreciate that she took this issue seriously and have retrained the staff. Thank you!
I think I'm done, The customer service at the store is getting better but since it opened getting better means it went from the absolute worst to just horrible. A few months back I ordered a cake from the bakery it was a tres leche (spelling) cake, we ate a piece that night it was great and the next day when I went to grab a piece the cake was watery and melted and collapsed. I had never ordered that kind of cake and I had called the bakery to have them shed some light on why it was like that, The girl her name was Kelsey or Chelsea said that, that kind of cake had to be refrigerated. I said to her oh that would be good information to tell customers when they're ordering that cake, Because I've never refrigerated a cake (I don't refrigerate cake or bread because the refrigerator drys it out, never have)..... I got no response in fact dead silence and I waited and nothing and I just said goodbye, I call back and talk to a manager and I get the same defensive attitude from Jessica in fact she repeated herself 2 times about the refrigeration thing about all cakes..... Bottom line she came across to me as if I was a d*** s*** for not knowing that that cake need to be refrigerated, with a too bad for you ending. I just wanted to let somebody know that I didn't know about that cake needing to be refrigerated I had never ordered it before and that that would be good information to tell future customers ordering that cake I wasn't looking for anything else. Not one time did they say I'm sorry that happened to your cake or is there anything I can do for you or I appreciate that information maybe everybody doesn't know they have to refrigerate that kind of cake...... nothing Absolutely nothing other than their defensive attitude and acted like I bothered them. Secondly, I ordered a birthday cake for my husband and the girl took my order was super great and the decorator was awesome I had a request she filled my request and when I got the cake the cake was dry dry dry dry, so horrible. And one last thing I had spoke to the store director ( siting incidences and specifics) a long time ago about customer service, how bad it was and how exhausting it is to come in that store when we spend so much money in there. Nothing has changed, so for two years I just let it happen because it's the closest store to my house, So after these last two incidents, I literally sent an email to the district manager and I got no response from him either.........I read back through my message and I sound like I am completely whining and I hate whining and that's why for two years I said nothing but I expect customer service good customer service where ever it is I spent money. In this store and this company does not care about customer service. Albertsons wasn't like that
This establishment has gone way down hill. Customer service doesn't answer the phones, I was on hold for over an hour. I am judged and profiled for coming in on my work clothes everyone assumes I'm stealing something or have a fake ID and make me take it out of my wallet. One of the gals who work self checkout is always rude. I could go on, I'd say go fred meyer or at least the safeway on mcwilliams. It would be worth it.
Love this safeway clean and usually not as busy as the other Safeway's most of the staff is great only ever had a problem with one of them.
This was probably one of THE WORST experiences I've ever had in my life there. I came in to pick up a birthday cake and balloons along with some candles and a card. Everybody was super helpful throughout my shopping especially the bakery and the cashier who's name was Teri who rung me out-both of you were great but, AFTER I had paid I went to go look at flowers thinking this was no big deal I didnt get anything else . Once I set foot out the door the Female manager with bright red hair (didn't catch her name) approached me so abruptly and "Do you have a receipt for the cake and the balloon?" As if I was stealing I said "yes of course" and she said " just making sure" seemingly disappointed because she didnt catch me doing something wrong . I was so shocked and caught off guard I quickly left. I shop there almost every day sometimes twice a day and spend a decent amount of money each time wanting support the neighborhood branch. Normally I wouldn't complain but this was absolutely embarrassing and she should be taught a few things in being observant. If she was watching me that closely she would have seen me PAY through a line with a CASHIER not self checkout. She didnt even apologize, nothing. I did call and complain and I am hoping I hear back from the store director. I WILL NOT BE BACK NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE because if they have and imbecile managing their store on any level this isn't anywhere I will take my business. It makes me truly upset because I've been a customer here for almost my entire life. If I could rate this experience any lower I would. I hope she is addressed. I hope no one else is treated this way. Thanks for ruining my shopping trip that I was so excited about beforehand. If you're going to "pay attention" to customers maybe you should actually do it correctly. What a disappointment. Here's my receipt you asked for.
I go here, from Poulsbo, because of the GREAT customer service but in the past two weeks. I have been getting lotto tickets from Michelle at Customer Service. Today, she actually pointed to the line of people waiting for Western Union orders and then pointed to the automatic machine, telling me that it was going to be quite a while before she could help me (if ever was implied). I simply waited for over 15 minutes until someone saw the line and came to help. If Michelle doesn't want to help the public, she should find another job.

My local Poulsbo Safeway is a wonderful place to shop. Always clean and inviting. Produce is fresh and inviting. Staff is always helpful and eager to help me find whatever I need. The cashiers are very knowledgeable and cheerful. Wonderful under building parking in the HOT of summer and the RAIN in winter. I feel very happy to have this store in our town.
I was starving and wanted some Chinese takeout. The clerk was super helpful and let me try things out since they were out of my favorite dish. Even though I ended up buying $30 worth of sushi instead I appreciated the help. I'll be back when I need some boom boom shrimp.
I usually go to this location to grocery shop. I never have any problems going in. There are always great deals. Never too crowded(except on holidays and football games). The customer service is always great. And quality has never been an issue for me. I used their Safeway delivery today, and there was a note that they were out of ground turkey!? Wow! Now that's pretty impressive. So I am taking away one star because I was hoping to not have to go into town to get groceries, and now I have to drive 45 mins round trip for one item. Oh well.
This store states they are open 24 hours. But, they are often closed after 11pm. When they are open late at night, the employees don't seem to want to ring anyone up. Maybe they should just close if they don't want to be there.
I would love to tell you all things I have a problem with this grocery store but it all boils down to two things: poor management of space: If two shopping carts can barely get by each other in an isle you make it impossible to comfortably shop for items. And your product: You have over stocked shelves of genetic top 3-5 brand name products that offer no variety. You're too corporate Safeway. Make it about the shopping experience and you'll do better.
