I’ve been local to Sluys for over a decade and always love visiting. I introduce everyone who visits from out of town to them and they never disappoint. One of our friends who visited almost 8 years ago remembered going to Sluys and made a point to go back! I always knew I didn’t want a cake for my wedding, but that I wanted Sluys donuts and Viking cups to be our dessert. It’s been my plan for years. This weekend, I finally got my wish. They were a huge hit. Thank you for being an amazing bakery.

Love the donuts here! The line was out the door, but the employees moved people through quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend coming here, although the shop is small and it made it hard to navigate a stroller through. Especially when busy.

Kid-friendliness: Yes it is kid friendly. Not super stroller friendly though.

We were so excited to try this! Waited 20 mins on a Sat, which wouldn't have been bad if it were worth the wait. It wasn't and we were so disappointed. Most disgusting choc chip cookie I've ever had. Flat, not hard but not soft, and terrible taste. Cinnamon roll was also dry. Not a ton to choose from for 2pm, was kind of surprised. Definitely not worth the hype and wouldn't go here again.

Absolute wonderful find in Poulsbo, WA. I love donuts and pastries and Sluys Bakery's are amazing! Possibly the best I have had! Super friendly staff and such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My wife and I made sure to visit them each day of our vacation. Great way to start the morning off. Highly recommend!!!

I really love this bakery. Absolutely everything I’ve had is delicious and my kids really enjoy picking out new things to try. The only down side is that there is usually a HUGE line that stretches all the way out the door and half way down the block. My recommendation would be to either plan an extra 1/2 hour to stand around waiting or go at a time when it’s not so packed with tourists and shoppers. Super early in the morning is usually a good bet.

Solomon was so helpful and sweet and the selection is AMAZING! We got the gigantic cream puffs, my son got a Viking Doughboy..AKA an oversized maple bar in the shape of a gingerbread man! Everything was just awesome and the prices are totally reasonable for what you get. Absolutely give them a try!

This is a charming bakery with lots of tasty treats. I saw many favorites that I remember my grandmother making when I was little.

Because I couldn't buy the entire store (as much as I wanted all of the yummy looking goodies), we selected the apple filled butterhorn, a bag of raspberry scones and one other item that I can't remember the name of. All of it is out of this world! And best of all, it tastes just like grandma's.

Fantastic bakery in Poulsbo! A must visit.. they lnow how to bake their breads with utmost flavor.. we got their chocolate cake donut and regular chocolate glazed donuts along with a couple of coconut chocolate cookies and it was delish! Every bite was so fresh and the donuts were sweet but not overly sweet. They have a variety of freshly baked breads and donuts, fritters, cookies, etc.

There is always a line but it keeps moving fast. Helps if folks make up their mind (i know its hard to pick) before they get to the counter. But the line does move fast. Until then enjoy the display of freshly baked goods. Highly recommend this place when in Poulsbo.

Sluys is one of those places that has such a wide selection that you're sure to find something that you'll like. Most of it is average but at least it's consistent. I tried their famous Viking cups a couple of times and the idea sounds delicious but each time I found it to be stale. I've purchased them on different days and at different times of the day and it's just always stale. Not sure what that's about. Their donuts are on the sweet side and the cookies are fine albeit a bit pricey. I think their best item is the Poulsbo sliced bread. It's a quality bread and unlike the junk you get at the supermarket.
