They’re sweet, they’re powerful, they’re worth every minute of the wait. People come up to me, they say, ‘Sir, sir, how do you get one?’ And I tell them — you get in line, you wait, you hope. Because when you finally hold that Viking Cup, you’re holding greatness.
So yes, Sluys is tremendous, the Viking Cups are historic, and Poulsbo is winning. VERY STRONG, VERY BEAUTIFUL, VERY BIG CUPS!!!

The only thing that has changed since I was a kid is the line outside and for good reason. Still the best donuts ever and my in laws who don't like sugar AND live in Norway ate my donut stash for breakfast this morning.

A very popular bakery in Poulsbo with Danish/Norwegian style pastries and doughnuts. They also sell different kinds of sliced bread. The pastries are delicious. We went with the Viking Cup with Cream Cheese, Date-filled Bear Claw, Swedish Almond Pastry, Fattigman, and English Muffin Bread. Everything was delicious. Hence it explains, why there is always a long line of customers in front of the store. But the waiting time is ok, like 10-15 mins till your turn comes to place the order.The staff is very fast. There is little to no space for eating inside the store, so everything is a to-go packed food. Parking is a challenge, only street parking or paid public parking nearby. Would definitely visit again.

Bought a selection of pecan rolls, cinnamon rolls and the Viking cup, and they were so good! Service was excellent and would highly recommend if you’re in the neighbourhood

There was a wonderfully warm welcome as soon as we entered the door. We got about five different items and each one was better than the next. I would definitely recommend the almond bear claw and the chocolate eclair.

It was fun going in and choosing some bakery treats! Hindsight, I wish I'd gotten a loaf of bread. Service was upbeat and everyone was so friendly, and we appreciated the fair prices. I'm sure everything is delicious, but I can personally recommend the Viking Cup (cream cheese icing 😋) and Chocolate Viking Donut!

I’ve been local to Sluys for over a decade and always love visiting. I introduce everyone who visits from out of town to them and they never disappoint. One of our friends who visited almost 8 years ago remembered going to Sluys and made a point to go back!
I always knew I didn’t want a cake for my wedding, but that I wanted Sluys donuts and Viking cups to be our dessert. It’s been my plan for years. This weekend, I finally got my wish. They were a huge hit. Thank you for being an amazing bakery.

Love the donuts here! The line was out the door, but the employees moved people through quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend coming here, although the shop is small and it made it hard to navigate a stroller through. Especially when busy.
