The ice cream is good every time we get it from the market but $6 for the tiniest scoop of it seems pretty rough.

I've tried 3 flavors and each time it's such disappointing ice cream. Save your money.

Two pints from Safeway (mint and pistachio) tasted watery. It was an odd texture, like it was lacking fat or something. Or freezer burnt? It kind of crumbled when I scooped it, and it wasn’t very sweet. They might have a QA problem with their pints, because I can’t imagine people would eat that on a cone at a shop. Real bummer, cause the cover art was really cool and they’re a local brand!

Bought a pint of Mint Chip Avalanche at a grocery store in Seattle, tried it when I got home, and the texture was so strange. Icy, like freezer burn or a snow cone.

I recently picked up the Rock Giant Pistachio flavor ice cream from Safeway purely out of curiosity—and I’m so glad I did! It turned out to be an absolute delight. Despite coming across a few reviews claiming the texture was odd or not creamy enough, I personally found it just right.

What stood out most was the flavor—it’s not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. Instead, it has a subtle, natural sweetness that allows the rich, earthy taste of real pistachios to shine through. You can actually taste the pistachio, not just an artificial flavoring. That alone puts it a notch above many other pistachio ice creams I’ve tried.

Another thing I loved is how it feels lighter and somehow healthier than most store-bought options. It doesn’t leave that heavy, overly processed aftertaste. Overall, this was a pleasant surprise and has earned a spot in my freezer for future cravings.

I just bought two pints at Carrs (owned by Safeway) in Anchorage, AK & I am blown away by this company. The art on the pints initially caught my eye & it’s so refreshing to see in today’s world.

It’s kidney stone friendly. It’s not full of sugar or chemicals I can’t pronounce, and there are low sodium options (the majority from what I’ve seen so far), all of which is very rare. My body makes kidney stones & I try to eat accordingly. Thank you for making this ice cream. The gates of Valhalla will certainly open for you.

I haven’t been to where they sell it in Poulsbo, but they came to my local fair one year and I tried it. I got dark elf delight and it is the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I get so excited every time I see it in a store, the flavor is AMAZING. I’ve reccomended it to all my family and friends. My dad tried and literally gasped, it’s so good. Not only is it my favorite ice cream, it’s the best dessert and food in general I’ve had in my entire life.

The dark elf is my favorite! Whiteout is a close second followed by the mixed berry. The pistachio is good as well, however it's real pistachio. If you're expecting it to have green food coloring and almond extract like other brands on the market, you may not like it. The texture is slightly different, but I actually prefer it. It's similar to frogurt I've had in Sweden.

Bought the Dark Elf Chocolate from Safeway. While the flavor was good (almost tasted like brownies), the texture invoked thoughts of soft serve that you took home and kept in the freezer for later.

I'm also concerned that there was no food tampering prevention under the lid. I'm not super paranoid about it, but it's nice to know for sure nobody has licked it in the store.

Kelli E. You summed it up I wish I had read the reviews prior to spending 12+ dollars on 2 pints of "Seawater" Carmel and Strawberry. I have for a long time said that icecream is my soul mate and I say that this viking brand (though catchy names and fancy art, I must give credit to the artist(s)) is not creamy at all and so there for not icecream.
You know how icecream gets when it's freezer burnt well it's like they took that burnt part and packaged that by itself

Sorry dude, I live in Port Angeles,WA. I looking for an ice cream place and the address I pulled up too looked closed. No disrespect intended. I'm sure your place is great.

I looked up ice cream shops in Poulsbo and this one was the closest. So I came here cause I really want ice cream and had 45 minutes to waste got here and it looks as if they have closed down.
