It was nice. I loved having a place my kiddo could play. The coffee and food I got were great. The play area was cozy but they did a lot with their space. With that said, I have only been the one time and there was no guidance on how to use the play space. I had reserved a spot so I let my child play at the designated time but no one checked. I also walked into the cafe with a kiddo and would have expected a more warm greeting something like “oh would he like to play? Do you have a reservation.” But nothing. I would have been very lost had I not known about the online reservations.

I was told to visit Holiday Cafe a couple weeks ago because I have an 11 month old who stays active. And I wanted to try something new. My husband and I brought our daughter in to see what they have to offer. But the service we received was terrible, we got to the counter and there was just a group of ladies talking amongst themselves not acknowledging my husband or myself. Not too long after that, the young lady that took our order, had a negative demeanor like she didn't want to help us or take our order. Another young lady that made our drinks, it was like she didn't want to make our drinks but she HAD to. We didn't give our daughter a chance to run around and play because of how we were treated. In addition to that , there were flies in the display case and a strong smell of poop filled the entire space that made it uncomfortable to sit and eat. I understand that it is a kid-friendly business but I think they should have stricter rules for that specifically since it is a business that deals with food.

We’ve been here a hand full of times now and each time this place does not disappoint. From the friendly staff, the positive environment, good coffee, and yummy pastries this place is a must for on a weekend morning. They have a good size menu of both small bites and drinks including seasonal drinks.
They have an indoor ground for kids which is pretty cool for those with little ones. You can enjoy your morning coffee and raspberry white chocolate scone with out your little one bugging you. Although this place is great for kids it isn’t overly loud in there which is nice. You can still have a normal conversation without having to yell over kids screaming.
Ditch Starbucks and come spend your morning at Holiday Cafe. Lots of seating including tables and couches, Worship music playing in the background, and just an overall welcoming and comfy vibe. Check it out if you’re down town Puyallup for the farmers market or fair.

I understand there are rules to the open play at this cafe, but I feel there can be exceptions for certain situations.
I came in and was told my daughter couldn’t play because there was another mom waiting for over 20 minutes for her kids. Inside the area there were more moms in there then kids! Also there was way more then 6 kids in there at once, and the worker didn’t do anything about it. Why is it the rule is enforced for people trying to play but once people are in there nothing is done about it? And it was in the middle of a reservation time so it wasn’t an overlap of kids. Also it was a hour before closing time with the cafe half full. I don’t think anyone would of cared to add a couple kids to get some play time before closing. If it was the middle of the day and the cafe was slammed I would understand.
I think it would be a better and less a frustrating experience to have some times that is open where it’s first come first serve rather then everything is reservation. Yes you take walk ins, but with how popular this cafe seems to be it’s almost impossible to walk in for the play area. Most of the time people don’t schedule 2 weeks in advance to go to a small coffee shop.

Nice interior. Had an unpleasant smell. GF pastry was pretty dry and cold brew was watery and uninteresting. Interesting concept but wouldn’t go back. Too expensive and you’d get a much better coffee at Anthem across the street.

Cute little place. An indoor playground for the littles while Moms hang out and enjoy fresh coffee, tea, lemonades with fresh baked cookies and cakes. Very busy. Enjoyed the cleanliness of the dining area and the restrooms. Nice touch with tiny vases of fresh flowers on the tables.

Awesome environment! Very kid friendly and there were lots of babies when I came which for me is a plus! Very adorable. Asked if I had a number with them or Anthem, I did not but I think it's nice they have that partnership. Lots of alt milks which my lactose intolerant tummy loves. Only downside is they didn't clarify hot or iced. I ordered a oatmilk matcha latte with lavender and I got iced when I wanted hot. Very minor I should've clarified but it would be nice if they double checked. That was the only problem and it was super minor.

Visited this cafe today with my 15 month old. Such a cute and cozy environment. The people working there were so nice and helpful when it came to drink recommendations. One of the girls even made up a drink for me with a new syrup she was working on and it was delicious!
The play area was organized and clean and there were plenty of toys and activities for my little one.
You do have to make reservations online if you want to play in the play area but the price is beyond reasonable! Paid $4 for almost two hours of play time.
They have drinks and snacks for all ages which I appreciated as well!
