As a Brit living in Seattle for the last few years, I've been searching for a good Fish n Chip emporium. Well, a recent excursion out to Spud in Green Lake didn't disappoint. Excellent service and outstanding food. Thank you!
They have fallen all they off....the chicken strips used to be large and delicious now it seems like hard crumbled chicken..and the fries made in really old oil darker than the russet potato itself...we are from federal way and use to come out every few months to visit this spot but now I dont know what to tell people who live as far as we do..if they should even come anymore just sad

$50: three pieces of fish, large fries, canned IPA, a Diet Coke. Good fish - crispy, nicely seasoned coating. Limp fries - a disappointment. Great location. Friendly staff. Take your chances with the fries, which should be dialed in at a fish and chips place…
My mother and I went here today to watch the sun set and walk around. We were excited about the scallops. We got there and the cashier had a salty attitude; mansplained everything. The service, they tell it takes 5-10 minutes for your food to be ready; it is actually 15-20 minutes. We ordered 2 coleslaws, scallops by themselves, and scallops with fries. The ONLY good thing out of all of this was the fries. My mothers coleslaw had a clump of hair, and I mean a HAIRBALL in her food. DISGUSTING. Unsanitary and violates health codes. Coleslaw didn't have enough dressing anyway so was it worth the $6 for 2 of them? No, it wasn't. Then - the scallops. Absolutely nasty. Too rubbery - not authentic at all. So all in all - pretty poor experience.
My friend paid, so I can't comment on value. Good place to grab a quick lunch and walk across to the beach and enjoy it in the sunshine.
I grew up with Spud's and love their fish and chips. This iconic location at Greenlake has been torn down. The restaurant will reopen in the new building that will be built. So sad to lose this building.
I recommend all of the seafood there, but not for another 12 months at least. They are tearing down and putting in a new multipurpose building where the new Spud will be housed.
Last day. Hopefully will return after the remodel in about a year or so
