5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We got the very affordable pound of carnitas that came with fabulous tortillas (I believe they are handmade), some veggies as a salad, and hot sauce. Some of the best flavor carnitas I've ever had, you can definitely tell they are slow cooked and made with love! If we ever come back to the Gorge for a show we will definitely be back!!

Carnitas Michoacán is an awesome place to grab authentic Mexican carnitas from Michoacán. The carnitas are super soft, not like others around the area. The meat is hot and juicy, the burnt ends are crunchy, and the homemade tortillas are thicc. The pico de gallo with cabbage and salsa has a good spice. The quesabirria is amazing and comes with everything you would want. The restaurant and restrooms are sparkling clean, and the service is quick, effortless, and friendly. The portion totally exceeded expectations, making a spontaneous stop absolutely worth it. The parking lot is often packed with cars, a sign of a pleasant surprise. Passing through town, Carnitas Michoacán was great; would stop in again in a heartbeat and try more than just the carnitas. Highly recommend trying the spot.
