For some reason, this place had never registered with me, even though we've lived in Redmond for more than 20 years. But we saw a video highlighting some of the restaurants Chef John Howie likes to frequent on the Eastside, and this was one of them. I went with Howie's recommendation and had the papaya salad with grilled shrimp which was excellent! My husband originally ordered the cashew chicken, but because they were out of cashews went with the basil chicken instead. It was also delicious! The basil with crispy, which was unique. We rounded out the meal with glasses of tea. I had chrysanthemum and my husband had Seattle sunset. Both came in beautiful glass tea cups and additionally, we had the black rice pudding for dessert. We will definitely be going back!

I've been going here for a few years and have been disappointed the last 5+ visits. This last visit is the last straw. I get pad see ew with veggies which is pretty basic. I actually used to get it with tofu but they put soggy and overly chewy tofu I opted for veggies. They have consistently messed my order up. Either they have no chilli (zero, they forgot it) in it when I've asked for four stars. This last time they barely stirred the noodles so they were not flavored, white and clumped together, the picture is after I started to separate the noodles. It pains me because it's so close by, but I am not going back when I consistently pay $20 to be disappointed. I hope they figure it out because it's really sad that it's not as good as it used to be.

Came here for lunch. One waitress was quite literally running around trying to manage tables, act as front of house, and hand over take-out orders. Understandably and through no fault of the waitress, service was pretty slow.Prices are really high for the quantity and quality of food you receive. Certainly nothing to write home about.

Bummed to say that this place has really gone downhill. I was a longtime fan of this place. I no longer live in WA, but every time I come back to visit, Thai 65 would be on my list of places to eat. Unfortunately this time around, we had a negative experience. We found a rogue bottle cap in the Tom kha soup, and the beef in our curry was chewy and low-quality. The prices are really high for what you're getting, too. Disappointed, I won't be returning but hope that they make some improvements for local folks sake! In response to owner question: Redmond location. I had bamboo shoots added to the Tom Kha soup. Yes it was a to go order.

I’ve ordered from this restaurant probably >100 times since living in Redmond Washington. I’m actually leaving a review with them for the first time as the other times I probably would give them a four or five star.Short version (via a delivery order they recommended via Uber Eats): I paid $34 for panang curry (with chicken) and a small order of rice. I literally had (at best) 4 little strips (about 1/4 inch squares) that was with ~2.5 cups of soup. I have never seen Thai 65 short change my order like this and am extremely upset with what just happened.

Cafe 65 used to provide authentic Thai food, but unfortunately with Pandemic and high number of customers, their quality has become probably one of the worst that I've tried in the past 15-20 years. They don't honor spiciness level in their orders, rush making the food without letting the ingredients properly cook/ mix, use very average/low amount of ingredients. And, probably the most expensive in Redmond. Extremely disappointed. I used to be a regular, but will never return.

- okayish food - 20% default tip - had to call the waiter to place order - we asked no mushrooms, but got 2 in our entree, not sure who messed up Service not even worth 10% tip.

Alright food. I have eaten here 3 times. The food is always pretty mediocre. It is decent, filling, and looks and tastes fine. It is a bit greasy and feels more like fast food, which the price does not seem to reflect. The prices seemed to have gone up recently so I will probably never eat here again. I just do not think the food is worth the price now.I have had two types of curries here in the past, which were both pretty good. Now they seemed very expensive, so this last visit I ordered Pad See Eew. The noodles seemed soggy to me. They fell apart easily and were very soft. I ordered a 2 and it was a bit spicy. My friend ordered a 3 of the same dish and it was less spicy than mine. Another friend ordered a small soup and it was $10. They said it was very mediocre. We were all disappointed with the food.I have always had take-out. I heard that it is more expensive to order over the phone, and more expensive to order online than to eat in the restaurant. I did not fact-check this. However, the last time I ordered online, we asked to eat inside and were told no, which is fairly understandable, I guess. Their reasoning was what was really strange to me though. They said that because we ordered online, we pay an extra fee for the online ordering service. Ok, that seems fine to me. But if we paid extra already, it did not really make sense to me that we could not eat inside. We paid more than the people eating inside, but could not eat inside with our take out.Thai65 replied to this review saying to order online at the website listed. That is the website we used to order online.

Great! Love the pad si ew and pad pak. Be careful with the heat though, the cooks can have a lead foot with the spiciness.

Authentic flavors and great food. Loved their pad thai and basil fried rice. Definitely recommend.

The noodles were on the greasy side, wish they were a bit dry to give it a proper noodle feel. The Thai basil chicken was good. The ambiance was good, nice place for lunch.

recently ordered one appetizer and one entree for carry out, cost $47.62;the online order says $13.95 ( Chicken Lettuce Wrap) yet they charged me 17.25; I recvd less than a cup of chicken. I brought it to their attention and they did nothing but double talk me. Their receipt from the restaurant which is take out only read $57 but they said "don't worry"If you want severely overpriced Thai food, and a restaurant that seems content on computing fuzzy math for your bill then go to this place for take out. I myself desire honesty and respect for customers.

The food is average. Beware, they add 20% tip to your take out bill without asking you. I found it very strange they charge your card without asking or telling you.
