Love this place, great beer, great people, so sad it's closing.
Great atmosphere, environment, very warm/friendly staff, and excellent exposure and PR for the Ackley Brands latest acquisition.
Now, I just heard of a Ackley corporate business decision to move all the Redmond Mac & Jack operations to obscurity in Bremerton. Early January 2026 the Ackley plan is to close the Redmond brewing and tasting room location permanently.
Great corporate decision I suppose but short-sided for the Mac & Jack brand to continue being considered a true local Seattle brand. It reminds me of the demise of Elysian except for Space Dust on tap locally. I Ackley bought the company to their flagship beer. I hope their wine business is better directed.
Mac & Jack’s brewery is a hidden gem—they have a wonderful patio that is family and dog-friendly. This is my favorite local beer. Most beer-lovers in Washington have had their Amber but I absolutely love the Serengeti Wheat! They also have great food trucks (shout out to @SEA Dawgs on Fridays).
So glad I stopped by. I've had the amber on tap or canned elsewhere, always a solid choice. First time in to their actual brewery. lot's of great options to try at the brewery. Obsessed with the spiced Belgian beer. Got some cans of that. I didnt catch the name of the guy running the taps today, but excellent service. Very kind. Definitely a good brewery stop.
My heart belongs to dry wines, however this was an outstanding beverage choice for a hike on a Summer day in the Pacific Northwest. Did not mind carrying the extra weight in exchange for refreshing hoppy taste with a touch of bitterness and sweet views all around. Thank you!
My favorite brewery in the region, including Oregon
Very lowkey, neighborhood/backyard vibes. Appreciate that it’s dog & family friendly. Super friendly service and great prices on a small but quality selection of craft brews.
Mac & Jack's African Amber in cans!! Never going to open another one. I thought it was just a phase but it still happens to this day. Everytime I open one whether it be warm or cold it sprays all over my hand and counter. Too much beer or just too much pressure-never again.
Great Beer, Great People
Delicious beer and friendly staff!

My daughter and I have enjoyed a number of Sunday beers in the beer garden at the Brewery. The service is upbeat and fun. The 1/2 off Sundays help some too.
Great friendly staff, solid beer, they set up tables outside on nice days. Much better beer than Postdoc, even if they seem to have discontinued their West Coast style Log Boom pale ale.
nice beer
Great beer and the staff is super friendly. Was in town visiting family and just happened upon the place. Highly recommend.
Mac and Jacks is the best beer this side of the park. Significantly better than Postdoc on all fronts. Please don’t come here I don’t like crowds :( Ariana and Will are great and the atmosphere is so welcoming. I love our quiet mountain town!
