Can't afford the food. And then when you do it for the food because you look like a fisherman or a homeless person you are very uncomfortable because the people are very bigoted

The food is decent but not authentic Japanese. They’re “close enough”.
The grilled dishes are okay. We were most disappointed by the yakionigiri—it wasn’t marinated then grilled, but grilled then with the sweet sauce slathered on top. Close, but not quite what we were expected.
The chicken karaage curry came out undercooked at first, which was a big turn off. The staff graciously replaced it without issue, but it still started us on a low note.
The curry has pineapple and butter in it which was unexpected. We ordered it without examining the menu so closely so it was another surprise for us since we were expecting a traditional flavor. It’s interesting, but again, just not what we were expecting.
I don’t think we’d come back again. I’d rather make the drive to Issian in Seattle.

The atmosphere and service are great. The food itself is good but could be slightly adjusted.
We ordered a tonkatsu and gyudon.
The tonkatsu was cooked well but lacked a bit of sauce. Portion size is appropriate, and overall flavor was delicious.
The gyudon was a bit tough. The beef was a little bit thicker than standard and was a bit overcooked. The rice was a little dry, but we did come in late in the evening, so that's not a major surprise.
Overall, it's a good experience, and we'll try coming back, but a bit earlier in the day.

Best skewers in town that I’ve had. The Gyusuji skewer is some of the best meat I’ve tasted. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Would highly recommend this place especially they’re all you can eat option.

I really wanted to give 5 stars to this place since it's too close to my office but it fell short. The grilled items are not over charcoal so no coal taste. Sauces are way too sweet, grilled eel tasted like honey to me. Karaage is soft and tender but no ginger or garlic taste and the breading is on the grainy side as opposed to potato starchy side. Small plates desired some veggie as a side, even a slice of red onions would be great but there's not and there is only one salad on the menu which is full of corn, pineapple and corn (yuck). The beef skewers were chewy but the American wagyu cuts were amazing. My favorite was the grilled little Japanese fish. Right amount of fatty meat and grilled to perfection. Must try. Service is extremely fast. I'd recommend ordering in batches. The app is buggy, took a while to figure out. Atmosphere is nice but the music has been some fast paced loud guitar grinding dub workout music since I sat. No kids, no. 🤣🤦♂️

A cozy place to hang out in a small group. Great atmosphere with decent music choice. The service was great as the waitress is friendly and supportive. The food was good for a Japanese cuisine. Great place, do recommend.
