Ahram is hands-down one of the best Korean restaurants I’ve visited in Washington! The authenticity shines through in every dish. The Yangnyeom Gaejang(spicy crab) was phenomenal—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We also tried the Bossam and meat pancake, and every piece of meat was incredibly tender and juicy. The side dishes were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented, adding the perfect finishing touch to the meal. Truly a top-notch experience for anyone craving authentic Korean flavors.

Overall had a great time here and would come back!

Food
The premium bento was $20 after tax. It came filled with plenty of food, enough for two servings for me, and came out fresh and hot. My favs were the pickled cabbage, stir fried fish cakes, and sesame ball. I would not get the chicken again as I found it dry. I liked the fish cakes a lot and in the future would consider buying a container separately. The food here felt very homey but was presented so beautifully. I look forward to trying other menu items.

Service
We ordered on the screen but the food came out quickly. The minimal staff interaction we did have was pleasant. You do not bus your own table

Ambiance
Very clean and casual. Decor reminded me of a cafe almost. Not a ton of seating, but the way the food is packaged makes it great for travel/to-go

Ordered Korean bento box to go. Seating area is also available for dine in. Order was at the machine and chose the main dish for the bento. Food was ready relatively quick. Decent serving size also. Catering service is also available.

Very authentic side dishes. Loved the presentation and how cleaned and neat it looked as well. The hamburger steak was a bit too sweet for my husband but I told him to put it on with the side dishes to balance the sweetness so that helped. For me tho, I got the tofu one and it was so delicious 🤤 and I loved all the side dishes along with he soup as well. All the side dishes was a lot better the exit 5. I felt like I was in Korea! Happy this was in Renton and I didn’t have to drive all the way to federal way or to H mart! 🫶🏻

Delicious food and small but very clean eating area (three tables only). Everything we ordered looked fresh and carefully prepared. Reasonable price, too. Only wish they used actual plates rather than to-go containers for dine-in customers to reduce plastic waste and avoid microplastic intake.

Update: Looks like prices have gone up $1 for regular and premium dosirak. The quality seems to have improved as we saw in our most recent visit, entree portions are larger and the banchan has more variety again, closer to our original visits early last year. We had a minor issue late last year when we ordered two spicy chicken dosirak and it tasted sour like it was going bad so we were getting a little disappointed, but happy to see they were able to improve execution. Hope it lasts!

They are also now offering some dine-in only dishes like bibimbap and stews.

We’ve eaten here too many times, maybe 15-20 visits this year since they’ve opened. Our first few visits blew us out of the water. We were so happy that a Korean dosirak place opened up in the Renton area. The portions were great, quality was consistent, and variety of banchan were impressive.

We’ve tried everything, from bossam to hamburg steak to spicy chicken and the ribs. All are tasty.

Over time, as they got busier, portions have shrunk (esp. entree) and the banchan are getting repetitive. You no longer get a hot fritter or tofu and it’s usually danmuji and black beans. Still good and glad to have this option but probably hard for them to maintain the level of when we first started dining here. The people are nice.

We got the kimbap lunch box and spicy chicken set. Both were amazing and so fresh. The soup of the day was also delicious! I only wish we could choose our own banchan but it was still fun to try new ones. We will be back!

This place is great. It's a fun, fast, and different option for the East Renton Highlands/South Newcastle. I have no idea what authentic Korean food tastes like but there were a lot of flavors here I've never tasted before! The menu is absolutely enormous for the size of the restaurant. You could make it affordable if you want to as well!

Such a hidden gem in Renton!
Ahram Kitchen specializes in Korean-style lunch boxes and side dishes, and everything is prepared with incredible care and attention to detail.

I ordered the Premium Yukjeon Lunch Box today, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the side dishes were clean, well-balanced, and tasted like a high-quality homemade Korean meal.

If you’re looking for authentic, neatly prepared Korean food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Service was spot on and our order was ready exactly at the pick-up time. The food itself was AMAZING! We got a wide assortment of items and each one was fantastic. The premium dosirak was great - we got one with the bossam and one with the spicy pork ribs and both were delicious. The dosirak came with a great assortment of banchan too, all of which were very tasty. We also got the kimbap roll (which was outstanding), along with the ddeokbokki, cheese balls, and rice cakes. Overall, solid food and great service - will definitely be coming back!

Love this restaurant!!! We stop by for takeout whenever we are in the area. Reasonable prices, yummy variety, delicious food!!! Send like they do cater more towards takeout vs dine in. Our new go to for nights where we need a quick and reliable dinner!
