The portion sizes are big and filling and the service was nice. I liked the Hawaiian atmosphere and the variety of food available. The kids liked the spam musubi.

Good flavor, the lau lau was not traditional ,mostly ham, should be pork shoulder and 50% butter fish for that special fatty flavor, anyway was good, I just like the traditional way the best ( like Kauai family kitchen -my brudda Peter B. - style) da kind my brudda!!! Still any island food is better than the crap 90% of other kinds of restaurants food, for 👍.
Vegetarian options: If your a vegetarian, maybe you should consider eating at home.
Dietary restrictions: Have you ever seen a islander dieting? Just eat,live and enjoy your life brudda! Dont sweat the small stuff, GOD IS GOOD!!
Parking: Parking in the back is a wise thing, come lunch time it is very busy and there will be nothing in front.

Mahalo, okay now ....that was a deliciously charred broiled burger with onions and pineapple and barbecue sauce. It was absolutely delicious...!!! Now that's love Hawaiian style...

This was our first time here. Food was EXCELLENT! ?? We ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki and the kalbi short ribs. It was the best short ribs I've ever had, not too sweet, just right! The beef was a bit gristly but still meaty, very tasty. And my husband really enjoyed his spicy chicken teriyaki but he did say it was minute on the spice. Each plate came with 2 scoops of plain sticky rice and Hawaiian macaroni salad, which was a tad salty for me but still yummy. I got a lot of ribs too, so much so that I had to have my husband help me finish it all. LOL he easily complied. The atmosphere is easy going and laid back. This is a bus your own table restaurant, which to me is a minor bummer. With the price of the food, which was nominal, that was fine. So, be prepared to serve yourself everything you need; water, silverware, napkins, sauces, etc etc. And we were never asked midway thru if our food was okay. But, we will still be back to try other items on the menu because what we did try was all DELICIOUS ?

Avoid the beef altogether, but at least the pork and chicken options are fantastic. Beef was mostly gristle and appeared to be cut with the grain instead of against, and frankly it was awful. I'm all for some fat in my meat, I ain't too picky, but no exaggeration 3/4 of our beef across our dishes was inedible.
