First time ever at this Fairwood pub. Very good Beer selection and service. I was a bit turned off by the lighting because it was a little too bright for my taste. Otherwise, a very solid bar.

Tried to go there this morning. Asked the waitress where to sit and she said anywhere. So we took a table where she pointed. There were 6 customers at the bar the bartender was taking care of, 3- 2 top tables and a party of 6. We waited for about 5 minutes for her to bring us menus. 3 more sets of 2 people came in and sat down at seperate tables. She cleaned another table then went to grab menus. She gave the new tables menus and asked if they wanted anything to drink but not us. She then walked to the other side of the bar as she turned to look at us. No, "I'll be right there," nothing. She then put their drink orders in and went and asked the 6 top if they wanted boxes, they said no then went back to the table she was wiping down before the other 6 walked in. We walked out w/o anything being said. I run into the owner often at a local supplier, I'll let him know why I won't ever be back.

Been coming here for years and the food, service WAS great! In the last 6 months this place is not the same quality of food and service! Came her last Saturday night and the portion sizes of the food have dropped at least 1/3 the size and the salad was floating in water! I told my husband not coming back and he said will try it one more time. So we came back last night (Saturday) ordered the fettaccine and my husband had 3 bites and said it tasted gummy. It was sad to see they have lost so many regulars that came in on Friday and Saturday nights. Service is slow and the food quality and portion size are not the same. This place used to be packed with regular customers and now its not the same and I can see why people stopped coming here with the new Mgt.changes! There are alot of restaurants/bars that serve much better food for the price.
Stopped to get a burger for lunch. Sat at a table and waited for about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me.
I ordered the teriyaki burger and a beer. Waited about another 15-20 minutes. My food came out in a to go box. Thinking I waited long enough I took my food home.
When I got home I opened up my to go box only to find a chicken teriyaki burger (not what I ordered). I picked up the burger only to have the bottom bun completely fall apart. So I grabbed a fork and knife and ate my deconstructed chicken burger. Fries were super soggy.
Best thing about this meal was the pickle!

Love this place, we have been going here for years. I crave their broasted chicken & jo jos- the best! I loved the gizzards but those are no longer on the menu. I was so disappointed, what happened to your fish? We were there a week ago and I was so bummed- it was not the crispy, delicious fish of the past. It looked anemic and didn't meet my expectations of the best fish (cod)in the area anymore. So sad. I'll stick to the chicken now.
