Cedar River Cellars

Dude asked if I was from outer space. Did give the kids freeze pops but otherwise he was a jerk. Too bad because we just moved in across the street and were looking forward to hanging out here.

This was our first time there - 7-5-2024. It's on the far east side of Renton in a wooded very quiet area. The grounds are very nice with a "football field" sized mowed area you can sit on or there is a nice patio area to sit. The grounds are surrounded by large mature western cedars and Douglas firs. It's very relaxing. They do tastings, glasses and bottles and have nice selection of whites and reds.

We all shared their Chardonnay. The grapes are Yakima valley and it was done in French oak. It was very smooth and pleasant, nicely balanced with crisp acidity. The nose was fruity like pears and also light vanilla. The flavor was vanilla and pear with a medium body and clean finish - no odd or off aftertaste. It's a great hot day summer wine that would go well with salads, light meats or a fruit and cheese board. We all really enjoyed it. We took a bottle of the Viognier home. Can't wait to have that.

Unfortunately that was the only positive. The owner was less than friendly, the wine was limited, and there were mosquitoes out.

10/10 experience! Beautiful park like setting. Tremendous owners who took time to chat with everyone. Mother’s Day and busy - for good reason. The wines are fantastic and surprisingly generous pours. We will definitely be back!

This family-owned winery is a true gem. From the wonderful couple that owns it, the wonderful wooded area it’s located in and the delicious wine. They make it feel more like friends than anything else. Highly recommend. Returning soon!

Absolutely amazing experience. We stopped here after a hike in the area and will definitely be back. We had a lot of good conversation with the owner and the wine was delicious. Easy to spend 2+ hours here. Pet friendly, beautiful property, super serene. Highly recommend :)

Small winery. Very friendly owner. Found several wines we liked. We are travelers and they gave us several points of interest to visit. This is a gem.

Cedar River Cellars has amazing wine and a great outdoor space to spread out and relax. The owners are very nice and accommodating for anything you need. The patrons are friendly and it has a great atmosphere for hanging out and unwinding. It's truly a gem.
