I ordered rib tips but they were out so they offered ribs which was fine. However the ribs tasted like they were boiled not grilled. Clyde wasn't there and the grill wasn't fired up. Not cool and not the taste I was expecting after going there for several years. Costly disappointment.

Wish I could give zero stars. The last time I grabbed some food from here was in summer of 2020 and today I see that lady at the front taking orders still has a HORRIBLE attitude. Not welcoming at all. She got my order wrong even tho I had her repeat it twice. I left a tip and was disappointed when I got to my car and saw my order was wrong. The man actually doing the barbecuing is great. They should really replace her or have someone else as the face of the establishment.

My Daughter and I, been meaning to eat here for a while. We finally got to stop by and Let me tell you, 10/10.
When I say I want to eat ribs, this is exactly what I'm talking about. My daughter said to me. I can't believe we've been missing out on this 😂. She even called them, to tell them how amazing it was. The ribs were incredibly juicy and well seasoned, BBQ sauce was flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice, cornbread was moist and buttery, and macaroni and cheese was cheesy warm and peppery. Absolutely delicious!
Definitely coming back to order some more and try the rest of their food 🙌. The lady was super kind and helpful and the rest of the staff super friendly 👌 Highly recommended 👍👍

we ordered 2 brisket and 2 chicken plates... no complaints. our sides were yams, collard greens, beans and okra. there was flavor, excellent (really more than enough) portion sizes. we will definitely visit again.

Best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. I’m a Renton native and I just found out about this place. They’ve been here 9 years and the guy at counter is mighty fine ❤️ I’m definitely coming back! The ribs were immaculate the yams were sweet and he was great!!! 😊

Okra was well seasoned and delicious. Potato salad was on point. I wasn’t a fan of the baked beans, too sweet for my liking. I got the brisket sandwich it was over flowing with meat. I wasn’t a fan of the BBQ sauce and the meat was full of fat. Also got the pulled pork it was good but again not a fan of the BBQ sauce. The cobbler tasted weird. I paid about $54 for it all. Nice people. But overall it was an expensive disappointment.

I just found this place and I'm glad that I did. Brisket gotta nice bark and smoked to perfection, Sooo Good, and WooWee the sides of cornbread, baked bean, and these greens....Dangit Man! I'd give this spot 10 stars if it'd let me. If you want a taste of the South here up North, Go see Mr. Clyde and the family.
You won't be disappointed I promise. I like to support the grassroots mom and pops and will definitely drive the 45 minutes from my home to come back. Can't wait to try the rest of what they have to offer! Thanks y'all for the great eats, see ya soon!

We’ve been wanting to try this spot for a while but we were never catching it when it was open. Today I saw it was open so we finally stopped by. We made it in the last hour of service, so they were out of mac and cheese (I’ll have to try it next time), so we split a two meat meal with brisket and chicken then greens and potato salad as sides. I’m not much of a potato salad person, but I really liked this potato salad. It complimented the bbq well as did the greens. The sauce was just right - not too sweet or too spicy - and there was plenty of it. We ended up getting brisket and ribs in the box instead of the chicken, but being that we watched them take the ribs out of the smoker while we were waiting, it was probably just an issue of freshness and availability. Either way, it was delicious. Easily the best bbq I’ve had in WA so far. We’ll be back!

I tried Clyde's yesterday for the first time and it exceeded my expectations!!! Hands down, the best bbq I've had! I am a Chicago native and have been really missing good bbq. This is my new favorite when I need my bbq fix. The food is fresh, flavorful, presented nicely and the portions are better than most restaurants.
