I just googled this place and the honey garlic shrimp was really good. The chicken teriyaki needed a bit more sauce but was still very good. The egg roll was delicious and filling

It's been years since having teriyaki so I'm gonna fess up and say my expectations are probably too high for any teriyaki joint. My taste buds have expanded and dare I say um, become more sophisticated, so I don't know that any place in this genre is going to get a fair shake. I was hoping teriyaki had kept up with the latest and greatest in the developing foodie world, but it's apparent that it hasn't, at least not at this location. I had the spicy chicken lunch special. The main thing was that it was too salty. Even with two scoops of rice, it wasn't enough to balance out the saltiness. And while getting miso soup as part of the meal was nice, the green onions were brown from sitting in the soup for too long. It'd be so much better if it was floated on top when the soup gets poured into the bowl. It takes 3 extra seconds. I would've given this place 2 stars, but the staff were friendly so I'm giving an extra star just for them.

When I lived in Renton, one street over, I ate here once a week. When I come in town from Texas, Ginger Teriyaki is the first food stop!

I've said many time teriyaki ain't my bag, but it's close to Chinese and with the lack of Chinese restaurants sometimes you have to compromise. The reviews for this place are near flawless , so I decided to give them a try. This place is off 3rd, and for anyone that drives third, you know traffic is thick and you are trying to find a lane to get through and not get caught by a light. So in the decades I've live here, I've never seen this place because 3rd is one way and no one has time to be checking their review view. Tiny spot, but clean and modern. I got a lunch special and asked for soup. The girl didn't charge me for soup, so either I got lucky, or they just don't advertise it. Miso was delicious and the food came pretty quick after. I had chicken an gyoza, it came with a couple small scoops of rice and salad. The salad was pretty sad, without a doubt the weakest side salad I've been served. No veggies, just lettuce and the dressing was watered down. I like places that serve a sesame ginger dressing, it really wakes up your taste-buds. The gyoza was really good. I would have likes it steamed and fried better than deep fried, but everyone is lazy these days. The chicken could have been a little more flavorful and moist, but it wasn't horrible. I'm going to assume they make their own sauce, It wasn't too sweet, but it had a different flavor. In the end, this place is better than the average spot, but it's not life changing and that what the current score eludes to. I think this place is a 3, leaning towards 3.5, but since Yelp doesn't allow half ratings, I rounded up because service was so good. That said, I'll probably come back to try the Chinese dishes. And I don't regret coming in today.

Visited Kent, WA for work. Was bored and found a coin op arcade. Had a blast for about an hour. After Yelp'd Japanese and this showed up. Little hole in the wall that served Japanese and Chinese food. It was fine, for the price the portions were great. Not super authentic but safe, decent food and staff was friendly.

Warning! The food is as good as it looks :)I came here based off the reviews and was not disappointed. I am ready to try each item on the menu. Flavorful, not oily, always fresh, and quiches my hunger in the perfect way. The inviting crew when you come through the door is amazing! I’ve only been twice but I have a feeling this won’t change! Try it for yourself!Parking: Be ready to hop out to grab food. Just be kind and mindful of other patrons.

I’ve tried several teriyaki places in Renton and this is hands down the best one. My favorite menu items are chicken yakisoba, spicy chicken teriyaki, and crab rangoon. Entrees come with a fortune cookie. I typically take it to go to eat at a microbrewery nearby. Almost always someone asks “where did you order from?” because it looks so good! Friendly service, fair prices, and reasonable wait time.

THIS PLACE IS FIRE!!!! In my opinion this is in the Mount Rushmore of Seattle Teriyaki. Food is absolutely delicious (Chicken / Katsu Combo), but the experience is delightful! Teriyaki is usually a quick take out spot, but Wild Ginger goes next level and has an amazing dining experience! Chefs kiss, this place is amazing. Thank you!!!

Bottom line: we got food poisoning after eating here.Update: The owner Jenny, who many reviewers have mentioned, is awesome. She called and apologized for the rough experience with had. She was very attentive on the phone. So I am changing my review from 1 to 3 stars. Though we are still reluctant to come back, I believe they will use the feedback to improve. The servers were kind but the atmosphere felt strange. It feels quite cold and dreary having to stand and order. A line forms and people have different speeds of decision-making. The food tasted so-so in terms of flavor. The vegetable tempura was cold within minutes and didn’t taste good. And now that we’ve all been this queasy and having severe stomach problems within the 6 hour time frame that indicates food poisoning, I am really dismayed. Warning to all. I’m shocked by the positive reviews.

I absolutely am obsessed with this place! I literally eat the orange chicken from there multiple times a week! I'm not even kidding!! Ever since I found this little gem , I just can't get enough! I order the same thing every time (orange chicken) AT LEAST 2-3 A WEEK lol. I've had orange chicken from more places then I can count , and nothing compares ! It's decently priced. And the atmosphere is clean and comfortable. I can't say enough great things about this place! I have tried other things on the menu too, but only because my boyfriend ordered it. I crave that orange chicken from here like everyday , and I don't see that changing any time soon lmao.
