This was the worst and cheapest tasting sweet potato pie I have ever tasted, It taste like they cooked from the can and letting a store sell them for $20.00, they should be ashamed of themselves. I took this pie to my daughters house for Thanksgiving and everyone was so disappointed. I hope they will read this and adjust their recipe, cause this aint it!!

I honestly make a great sweet potato pie but this pie is a lot better than mine! At 54 years old I have yet to taste a pie better than Ms Margie’s! I highly recommend it to anyone who THINKS they have a great recipe! Haha!

I bought my first pie from Ms. Margie's at the Georgetown Farmers Market over the summer. It was perfect: the sweet potato was perfectly flavored, no weird lumps of over-seasoned anything... crusty but not crumbly crust... it was heaven. Sweet potato pie is tied for my all time favorite pie -- so pie perfection is not a status easily obtained in my mind! Today I was at Popeye's in Renton [don't you judge me!!] and they had a little printed out sign plugging Ms. Margie's pies. Along with my cup of beetus [sweet tea], I ordered a 3" pie. It was absolute perfection. I see an influx of trips to Popeye's in my immediate future. If you aren't lucky enough to run into the lovely man selling his wares at a Farmers Market... go to the Renton Popeye's. I want them to continue to sell well so I can get one whenever I want one. Which is all the time, if you were curious.

I was too busy to make my own sweet potato pie. Friends said no store bought pie could ever compare to a home-made pie from an old family recipe. Well, let me tell you, Ms Margie's pie tasted as if she made it for my family. Excellent! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Uhura

SHUT MY MOUTH. I bought a small 5" pie yesterday at a Seattle street fair. I brought this pie back to the hotel, and put it in the refrigerator to share later with my sweety. This morning, I took a small slice. THANKS Ms. Margie. Now I am addicted, and I have to focus to stay out of it, or there won't be any to share. The crust is amazing, and the filling is delicious. I am hooked. Take my advice, and buy a bigger pie, and find someone to share it with. Unless you have incredible willpower, you won't be able to resist taking another slice.
