We had the Japanese breakfast (spam). Very homestyle cooking, it was wonderful. Amazing bang for your buck. To top it all off the server was very friendly. Absolutely give the breakfast a try!

Had a private sushi rolling class today at New Zen in Renton with chef Yumiko Miyake. Great time and wonderful food!!! Arigatou Chef Yumiko!!! Aloha Mahalo from Laurie and Charlie. Not only learned how to roll 4 types of sushi, but about Japanese food and culture, knife and presentation skils, the 28 year history of New Zen Sushi. Yutaka, her son, was the other sushi chef assisting too. 5-STARS*****

Food was really expensive for what we got, otherwise the flavor was good

I always get the best quality sushi here! And it's affordable! Their cuts are generous and fresh. I adore their agedashi tofu. Yutaka (sp?) is wonderful, and I always feel welcomed and like family. What a gem! I'll come back again and again. 🍣

Solid teriyaki place .Small, hole in the wall. Kind of place. Decent atmosphere. Decent tables. Decent service. Sells teriyaki, ramen, sushi, and the usual teriyaki place Staples. Little on the spendy side. My meal of chicken teriyaki and a Dr. Pepper came out to roughly $25 with tax. But aside from that, not a bad place to go.

Parking: Parking is the giant gated parking lot on the right side.

Kid-friendliness: The teriyaki shop. It's got a decent atmosphere to it. Workers are respectful, very much willing to accommodate any kids that are there.

Wheelchair accessibility: You can easily get to the curb in a wheelchair from the parking lot and then just wheel yourself over.

This quaint restaurant has superb sushi, grill, and noodle dishes, served by a very friendly staff. Service can be a little slow because the business is only run by two people but it is worth the wait.

Amazing food and service. Had the chicken katsu curry, seared salmon roll, and the monkey brain sushi roll. Everything was delicious, and the staff was friendly and speedy! Will definitely be bringing friends back here for another meal!

Opentable Diner

Chef Fuji-San and his wife take you on a magical tour of Japan with seasonal fish, delicious chawanmushi and beautifully curated appetizers. As a gluten free diner, the restaurant reached out to me ahead of time to try and accommodate my allergy and also made a special chawanmushi so that I could truly enjoy the experience. This is a special dining experience and special chef family.

Chef Fujiwara runs a limited seating omakase sushi bar. His fish comes from Toyosu Fish Market in Japan and is prepared daily. It is absolutely delicious! Chef Fujiwara and his wife are very friendly and sincere. It has been a long time since I sat at a sushi counter and was able to freely chat with the chef as he worked. Dinner there was a wonderful experience. I am saddened that they are closing at the end of June, but I am also hopeful as they are in the process of finding new premises. At the moment, they share space within another Japanese restaurant. They plan to reopen and continue doing omakase. Updates are posted on their Instagram.
