We came to the Renton Dragon event last weekend on the premise that there were scotch eggs at the event. This was misleading; the eggs were only available at Premier, one block away from the event. OK, cool. Sat down in the bar area and ordered drinks and food. Drinks were OK; bit too sugary. We ordered the mini sausage rolls, scotch egg, and steak pie. There was not much steak in the pie and the gravy was much thicker than expected, almost gummy? The bottom of the pie, we noted, was thick and chewy. Unclear of this was intentional or not. Scotch eggs and sausage rolls were also just OK. In all three cases, we felt something was missing - some finishing note that would have made the dishes feel complete. It was also pricy; if we were to come back, I'd aim for one of their specials (which I think are advertised only at the store?). The bright spot in the experience was the service, can't fault that.Parking: Parking in downtown Renton is always am adventure and this is no exception.

Tried Premier Meat Pies today for the renton dragon fest! Absolutely delicious! The scotch eggs were done absolutely perfectly, and the pies had an amazing crust and the right ratio of meat to crust. Brought some home, and my mom tried some and was also impressed with them and can't wait to go there herself.

The bartenders were laughing at us and very rude and unkind.

We’ve driven bye so many times….recently tried this place during “Happy Hour” on a Weekday. Hubby had the Steak & Mushroom, full of flavor, no doubt about that! Soooo, good! Mine? The Lamb Curry. I was very disappointed. Quite bland, sad to say. But, I loved the crust! As you’ve might have read, the pies are quite small and so are the sides; mine was Pea Salad w/Mint, delicious! My husband had, Mash Potatoes with the works. After, we were still hungry. We asked again for the menu and ordered Pasty’s. He grew up eating them as his dad was an Irishman. They hit a grand salami on those! You don’t WANT & or NEED sauce or mustard for those, ever!!! —-And I LOVE my condiments but this is truly “lovely”….so, beautifully done!Oh, yeah, the drinks? AMAZING!My Crème Brûlée? Some of the very best I’ve ever enjoyed! —-Canlis, Kirsten’s, Wildflower, Anthony’s, Palmer’s….just to name a few.Service ~ friendlyVery cleanPrice Point ~ $72.00 two people (50% off day)One beer, one cocktail, (2) entree, (1) Pasty (1) Crème brûlée ——expensive. But, that’s how it is going out to eat these days. But we will be back. ????♥️

Such fun food and drinks! Perfect comfort food especially on a drizzly day. Not to mention it is a great location to wander around after the meal--will definitely be back to try more from their huge menu!

HAGGIS IS TASTY!! We came to Premier Meat Pies for Robert Burn's night, and boy howdy, it was AWESOME! This girl even tried Haggis! And she LOVED IT. Started out the meal with some sausage rolls, which were tasty. They were wrapped in a nice flaky croissant dough that was crumbly ecstacy. I was so hungry before I got there, but this totally satiated the hangry. Next came the Scotch Flight which featured 3 kinds of Scotch, each with different flavor notes. I don't know much about the beverage, but it was fun to try. So, everything was awesome, but I was soooo excited to try Haggis. Before y'all get cringy, it was really ijust a less herbaceous sausage. Apparently American Haggis doesn't feature lungs, but, I really didn't miss them. I mean, if you have never experienced something, you really can't miss it! It came with a side of Neeps & Tatties, which is potatoes and rutabaga. They were good, but the whiskey gravy they had on the side was bomb-diggity! The atmosphere is fun and the service amazing. I so recommend this place.

I've been curious about this place ever since I saw the signs that they were coming and finally got to stop in this past week. Overall, my friend and I had a positive experience. Service here is great - friendly and attentive. We had water refilled several times without having to ask which is one thing I consider when rating service. The restaurant is clean and bright and there's a big window looking into the area where the meat pies are made. There wasn't anything happening when we were there at dinner time. Now, to the meat pies. They're all about $11.50 and approximately the diameter of a hockey puck, so not big at all. An adult would need at least 2 meat pies to feel satisfied. My friend and I ordered and shared three savory pies and one dessert pie. We had the Chicken Hatch Chile Pie, Guinness Irish Stew Pie, Mac and Cheese Pie, and the Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding Pie. All of the pies were tasty, but our favorite was the Guinness Irish Stew. It had a flaky crust, which we both preferred, and perfectly seasoned stew as the filling. All the other pies we ordered had crusts that were dry and kind of tough. I don't know if it's because they are all pre-made and then reheated? Regardless, while they all tasted fine, I wouldn't go back for any of them, except for the Guinness Irish Stew. Our server mentioned that the Mac and Cheese pie with a Chili topping is really good. We didn't add toppings to any of our pies so that's worth considering. Toppings are an additional cost. All in all, this place is worth trying and I would recommend it if you've never been before. I wouldn't say it's the best bang for your buck, because the pies are small. They do run specials on Tuesdays for Take n Bake pies (20% off 6 or 12), so that might be a good option if you're a value-minded consumer.

After a pretty big screw up from Uber, I called them directly to reorder. They were awesome, got it ready asap and threw in a little extra. Shout out to Andrea and team!
