I found this place on Google after my flight was delayed. Amazing service, spectacular atmosphere, and great food. I hope to visit every time I’m in Seattle.

Not family friendly.•We walk in with our 15 month old today after parking down the road due to the construction, the bartender doesn’t greet us - he had one guest at the bar 2:15pm on a Thursday; gives us one look and hollers for the server. She comes out, also doesn’t greet us and immediately goes “We don’t have a kids menu, we don’t have a booster seat, we don’t have a highchair, will that be a problem?”.•Needless to say we didn’t feel welcomed at all and didn’t stick around to see how the rest of the service was going to be. Not having a kids menu is not an issue as our child eats everything, not having a booster or highchair ehh we could have figured it out, mostly it was how we were greeted.•I would also like to note that the only customer in the restaurant when we got there was the one person at the bar; so it wasn’t a capacity issue.•If you don’t want families to dine here why not make that clear on the website?

Delightful intimate dinner spot. My burger was cooked to perfection and the bun held till the last bite. The beet goat cheese stack was a treat. Finished with creme brûlée that was very well presented and had excellent flavor. All in all a treat!

Nestled into the fringe line between residential neighborhood and a small out of place business block, Red house is a gem of an adventurers find. Cozy, relaxed, easy to miss (adds to the charm), great servers with a relaxed and friendly attitude, lovely cocktails, and food worthy of fine dining. My only small complaint was that the rice (served with halbut) tasted of chlorine in the water used. It's not a deal breaker but was noticeable. Everything else far outweighs this oversight and I'm excited to come back.

Five stars are hard-earned, but The Red House has captured them three times over. My first visit, years ago, holds a special memory: my best friend proposed our roles in her wedding on the charming porch, with delicious sangria setting the mood. Today, living nearby, I revisited with the same friend for book club. We overindulged (happily!) in the small plates, each one was impressive. The temptation to try more of their food lingered, leading me back with my husband for a date night. Our amazing bartender, mindful of our sitter deadline, ensured swift service. The Red House easily tops Renton's restaurant scene, and wouldn't feel out of place in a trendier Seattle neighborhood (no disrespect to Renton, my beloved home!). Its magic keeps me coming back, and I foresee regular visits with friends and family. Thank you, The Red House, for being a local gem!

We found this gem online and decided to try it out for my partners birthday. It was wonderful! Not only was the customer service incredible and accommodating, the food was amazing. Super fun, cozy and relaxed atmosphere. This will definitely be a restaurant we visit often in the future.

I want to start by saying I have not eaten at Red House and have heard only good things about the food and environment.I only want to share that I made a reservation through their online service. In doing so, I was asked about any special food accommodations for our party (allergies, vegetarian, vegan, etc) and if there were any other accommodations that we wanted to share. I included that we would need a booster or highchair for our toddler. I received a message the next day that read exactly “Hello Katrina - You are welcome to bring a booster seat, but we do not offer high chairs or boosters or a kids menu, we are an adult restaurant. Thank you!”Needless to say, I cancelled my reservation as for this particular meal, we would be dining with our toddler and I didn’t feel that she would be well accommodated. I’m not necessarily saying this is a bad thing, I just want to make other parents aware that this is not a “family” restaurant…it is an “adult” restaurant. I have never had an experience quite like this so I’m left not sure 100% how to feel about it. While I feel the message was a little bit pretentious, I also think it’s their choice what to do with their restaurant and I know not everyone wants to dine in the presence of children.I will still potentially consider eating here in the future, but will have limited opportunities to do so because I have a child.*EDIT* I originally chose a 3 star rating, but after thinking it over and the response from the restaurant, I don’t think that’s fair as I have not eaten here. I have updated my review to 4 stars with the information above about my experience.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Was told specifically that they do not offer high chairs, booster, or kids menus because they are an “adult” restaurant.
