Was the go to coffee shop, except the new manager is not familiar with making coffee? over 30 mins in the store to get an americano, thats a shot of espresso and water, approx 45 secs to make.. store was virtually empty, less than 10 people in the store, two of them behind counter lol ... hope this doesn't become one of those low-grade spots run by people who don't understand service

Hands down best matcha you can buy. They have a seasonal drink menu on top of the typical drinks. I always get the seasonal drink and it never misses. The avocado toast is to die for but they are often sold out of it (maybe because I usually go later in the day). All of their paninis are also superb. My best friend and I always meet up here, because it’s our favorite cafe. Very cozy atmosphere too.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this coffee shop for years and never had an issue with the food. Unfortunately, that changed today. I purchased a sandwich that had a strange taste, and when I opened it, the avocado inside was black, mushy, and clearly spoiled — not just normal browning. It was absolutely not safe to eat.

When I brought it back, the cashier first told me the sandwich was premade and she hadn’t checked it. Then she said she had noticed the avocado was brown but that they still consider that “safe.” That explanation was extremely alarming. There’s a huge difference between natural browning and spoiled produce, and the sandwich I was served was clearly past the point of being edible.

They did refund me, but that doesn’t change the fact that this item should never have been sold in the first place. Not checking the food they’re serving — especially premade items — is a serious food-safety concern that could easily make someone sick.

I’ve trusted this place for years, so it’s disappointing to see the quality and oversight decline under new ownership (the cashier told me they have a new one and things have changed). I’m posting this in hopes the owner sees it and addresses the food handling and quality control issues immediately.

Excellent experience. Coffee was so good and my avocado toast was soooo yummy and beautiful! I'll dream of it. The atmosphere is chill and a cool place to work if you enjoy a nice music selection. It was also a good temperature. Some cafes can lack physical warmth and can be hard from me to even imagine working from but this one had a perfect temperature!

Nice little coffee shop in the Renton Highlands area. Quiet place to start (or end) your day without the forced notes of insincere gratitude written on your cup like a certain big coffee chain.

Food was amazing. However, it is 1 hour before closing and they won’t serve coffee in mugs and already started flipping chairs to close.

Super cute and welcoming. I literally spent 2hrs here with a friend just talking and what not and I was so surprised at how fast time went by.
I had the bacon & cheese croissant with the apple chai latte and I enjoyed both.

This place is the best. I almost don't want to give it a good review so it doesn't get overcrowded, but I love it so much. The food is so delicious. Coffee is always great and I love their seasonal drinks. There's always an inviting but chill vibe. I could hang here all day.

Edit: I ordered again, a 20oz hot chocolate and the breakfast sandwich again. I don't know if things were busy or if other people were working but the cocoa tasted mostly like milk and the sandwich was severely lacking. It was soggy with grease and the egg patty was much thinner than before. I couldn't even finish it. If this had been my first experience, I wouldn't order again. And I don't think I will now because I don't like rolling the dice on my meals. :(

Absolutely delicious! I ordered via door dash but that did not lessen the quality at all.
I got an 8 oz hot cocoa as well as the Dilettante Breakfast Sandwich and both were FANTASTIC! The hot chocolate was still nice and warm and tasted high quality. As soon as I saw Macrina bakery in the menu, I knew the food would be good! First off, it's huge! The croissant is so crispy and flaky in the outside but tender inside, the eggs are fluffy, bacon is perfectly cooked and it's all well seasoned!

Worth every penny!
