I normally don’t share reviews, but this is definitely one of the best foods I’ve tasted in a long time, the customer service was amazing, I ordered the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan, it was so flavourful and well seasoned, I will definitely be coming here again. 10/10!!!

Ordered no spice Chana masala to-go for my baby as it was their dairy free suggestion on our quick stopover in Seattle. The staff was very kind and accommodating, above the norm. However, when we got to our destination to eat it, there were no utensils and the dish was quite oily and SOO SPICY! I could barely eat it myself, and I can do heat. So we had to take another trip out to buy another dinner which was a bummer.

However, considering the service I received while
Ordering and waiting, I do believe that had I been able to bring it back or ate it in restaurant, they would have fixed it in an instant

Ok I’m a little upset I haven’t came to this place a lot sooner. I live 5 mins away and drive by it ALL THE TIME. The vibe is nice, the music had me dancing a little, the decorations very classy and restaurant super clean. Everyone was very attentive. Food came out looking very IG post ready. Too bad I ate it so quick without taking a picture. Chicken butter seasoned perfectly. Garlic naan very flavorful. Will definitely come back again ❤️

Food was good, but I paid $35 to pick up my own meal, which was meatless and a pitiful portion. Would not recommend based on price.

There is definitely some great Indian culinary establishments in Renton. But sometimes you just want something quick, casual, and tasty. That place is Rice and Curry.

Owned by Gurminder Kaur and family, Rice and Curry is located in the heart of Downtown Renton, across the street from the Piazza.

As small as it, the place is surprisingly busy. Traffic is particularly high on weekends where many from fans of Indian culinary delights come to converge for a nice meal.

Most of the favorites are here, butter chicken, tikka masala, pakoras - fresh na'an. It's there.

As for me, I started with an appetizer of fresh samosa and chutney. I also ordered the traditional chicken curry with garlic na'an. My friend ordered the buttered chicken with a side of basmati rice. Let's not forget some tasty mango lassi to make the meal complete.

Come on down to Rice and Curry, as you are. The food will be hot fresh and tasty, and have that Indian flair that will have coming back for another serving!

Very delicious food, took reshmi tandoori and murgh masala then mango ice cream for a dessert. Really enjoyed the food, the hospitality and the atmosphere. Hosts are very polite and reflect warm & respectful culture. Would love to come back and definitely recommend treating yourself to a healthy meal 😋.

Our first visit at this restaurant was beyond amazing with food. We ordered few chicken dishes, dal and garlic naan for a family of 4 with kids. There was hardly anything left - the Chef/Owner (Rinky) came to our table, spoke to us and shared her story a bit, her team hospitality was amazing. Prices were reasonable too! I would be going there again for sure!

⭐️ Honest Review for Rice and Curry – Renton ⭐️

Me and two of my friends recently visited Rice and Curry in Renton. I’m sure the owners and staff might feel a little disappointed reading this, but please take it as kind and constructive feedback — not criticism.

First off, the service was excellent! The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely curious to know how we found the place. We were simply in the area, hungry, and looking for some good Indian food. The setup was very clean and welcoming, and we truly appreciated the hospitality.

Now, coming to the food — I asked very honestly if the samosas were made in-house, and the gentleman confidently said “yes.” Unfortunately, that wasn’t true. They seemed to be frozen samosas, and at $8.99 for two pieces, that was disappointing — especially after being told they were freshly made. I wouldn’t have minded the price if it matched the quality or honesty. (For context — I’m a bit of a samosa influencer myself, so I can tell the difference right away 😄).

As for the main dishes, both the Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani were lacking in flavor and spice. They didn’t have that rich, authentic taste you’d expect from these classics. The naans also felt pre-made or microwaved rather than freshly cooked, which affected the texture.

We ordered 3 entrées, 1 samosa plate, and 3 mango lassis, which came to $108 before tip, and $124 after. Some might wonder why I still left a tip — it’s because I truly appreciate good service and effort, having worked in the food industry myself.

Overall, this is not meant as an insult, but as honest feedback that I hope helps the restaurant improve. With their great service and nice atmosphere, a bit more focus on authentic flavor and food freshness could easily take this place to the next level.
